Driving 70 on the interstate without any cars in front or side of me and car auto hard braked down to 60 and red emergency brake light was on. an 18 wheeler was behind me. luckily no injuries or accidents happened.

My grandchild just went from a car seat to a booster seat. the back seatbelt buckle is so recessed that you cannot buckle it without 20 minutes of fighting with it! this is a major problem because a child could not get themselves buckled. and it takes an adult 20 minutes to try and buckle the shoulder belt into the seat buckle because it’s so recessed in the backseat. i looked on the internet to see if there was a way to loosen the belts or extend them from the back and there is nothing so i went to a hyundai tucson forum and i see there have been many complaints about the recessed seat buckle not being accessible. this is a major concern for anyone transporting children and their grand grandchildren. i’ve already complained to hyundai about the car randomly shutting off. hyundai needs to put out a fix for this or provide hyundai owners with some kind of extension for that buckle. i also understand that taking it into the dealership didn’t help, because they couldn’t buckle it either.

As i am driving on the garden state parkway on sunny days and rainy days at approx 70-75 mph the emergency braking system notification activated on the dashboard in red, a noise activates and the car feels like it is going to stop short. this seems to occur about one and a half hours into my ride there are no cars in front of me or directly next to me. this occurs randomly and has happened seven or eight times since i leased the car in december 2024. it is very scary and the service techs at the dealership where i leased it cannot duplicate the occurrence because it is random. i feel unsafe driving the car because i am afraid at some point the car may stop on the highway. as it is now it feels like it is going to stop because it slows down.

Automatic headlight system causes the vehicle headlights to turn on and off during daylight conditions. the lcd display in the dashboard also dims to the point that the information presented cannot be read. this typically happens on bright, sunny days with a clear sky. vehicle has been to the dealership in excess of seven times where they've made multiple attempts to repair it. the light sensor behind the windshield has been replaced. the body control module has been replaced. the technician also tried to make modifications to the light sensor, but the problem persists. there are a number of other instances of this exact issue involving hyundai tucsons, santa fe. and santa cruz vehicles shown on the nhtsa site, and also when searching other sites online. dealer technician has repeatedly documented that the problem exists. dealer tech reported that the tech at the hyundai helpline suggested that the auto headlight feature not be used as a resolution. while not a solution under any conditions, even with auto headlight feature turned to off, the dashboard displays continue to dim during the day. the flashing headlights represent a serious safety issue as when following another vehicle, that driver may misinterpret the flashing headlight problem as an aggressive gesture and trigger a road rage type response. the call taker i spoke with at hyundai when i opened a customer service case said that he personally had that very issue with another driver due to flashing headlights.

The entire computer system shorted out throughout the entire car. it did not let me select above all of what it affected. the entire car malfunction due to the dealer not doing predelivery inspection. they have the vehicle and have not given me a written explanation or reports as to what happened to cause this. this vehicle was defective and dangerous and should not have been sold.

The implementation of the hybrid car backup warning siren exceeds safe noise limits. in order to meet the fed reg requiring the vehicle to emit a sound that reaches the 56 db level 6 feet from the rear bumper- hyundai installs a >90db speaker in the front of the car. this design decision saved money and meets the standard but at a tremendous cost to those who happen to be in front of the car when it's in reverse. this is big concern for those living in apts and areas they have to park in close proximity to neighbors homes. in my 2-3 story complex, parking can be 5 feet from a bedroom window. car owners do not have to right to determine when their neighbors sleep. the sound also travels well with the aid of concrete and brick disturbing dozens! early or late arrivals can cause irate behavior in those awakened-- so yes this is a safety issue! hyundai should be forced to recall and install a redesigned sound system for times the car is in ev mode. honda and toyota have a friendlier solution to meet this reg. btw- it should also be required for oems to develop software that allows owners to turn off- all the beeps! for example, when a door opened or locked. again the the beeps are loud and travel well. flashing lights can be used instead of beeps.

Due to the design of the middle seat belt receiver it is impossible to install any type of car seat using the seat belt. the receiver is so long, you cannot get the seat belt tight enough to prevent movement of the car seat. there are no anchors for the middle seat either to use the latch system instead of the seatbelt, and anchors cannot be borrowed from the other sides as per the owners manual. furthermore when a passenger sits in the middle seat, the receiver is on their lap, not down by their hip. this is not only uncomfortable, but i feel like the seat belt is not worn properly. one week after leasing the vehicle i went back to the dealership and was told there was nothing they could do about it. no help was offered. i reached out to hyundai on my own.

The rear turn signals sit really low. several times i've had cars that clearly did not expect me to turn, yet my turn signals were on. i asked my husband to check my lights and we realized if a car was too close behind (which i can't control) or a larger vehicle it would be impossible for them to see the turn signals in the rear. i checked for other complaints and sure enough this is a big concern for many - so much so that a number of folks are trying to fix it by installing led lights in the hopes of bringing attention to their turn signals! research is that there is nothing illegal with this, several car manufacturers are doing it and input from the manufacturers is its for aesthetics. i'd rather have an ugly car than an unsafe one. called the dealer - they were unaware, but asked if they would change the bulbs to led. they have to find after market bulbs but will call us back. my car is two months old and i don't want it any more - i now fear being rear ended. many in the forums felt the same way. there should be guidelines, laws, something to prevent manufacturers from sacrificing vehicle safety.

The vess in the 2024 hyundai tucson hybrid must be modulated. it creates a nuisance and living in a home owners association, i am looking at fines for creating a nuisance. the law requiring this calls for approx 50 decibels. this horn is 90 db. my city has an ordinance that does not allow noises over 85 db between 11 pm and 7 am, and 9 am on weekends. because of the noise level when backing up, i am unable to drive this car. i have no choice but to park my car in my garage, thus backing up is mandatory. also, in parking lots, it is embarrassing for my car to sound like a large garbage truck backing up. something must be done to lessen this noise. most important, because of this noise, i am forced to rush my backups, likely not concentrating as i should due to the blaring efect of 90 db, and causing me to not concentrate as well as i should if i back up at "normal" speeds. also, each time i put the car in reverse, if there is an open window i get a warning on my smart watch that the noise level is dangerously high. all others owning this car are similarly affected. so in addition to it being illegal, this noise creates a greater danger than a reasonable noise level would create. i an upset with the dealership for not letting me know about that noise. when they demo'd the reverse aspect, they did so on a ice model, not a hybrid, so i had no way of knowing the unreasonable & illegal noise level. had i known of this vess noise, i would not have bought the car. i asked the dealer after owning the car few days what can be done, and they said they would do nothing and they would not allow me to return the car. hyundai needs to provide a fix for this untenable situation! if no fix is imminent they must allow me to return the car without a loss of the money paid. hyundai needs to remedy this situation asap!

I was driving home on christmas day 2023 in my 4 month old 2024 hyundai tucson hybrid. an hour into my 4 hour drive my car began making a low whump whump sound. no alerts or alarms came on my display to indicate anything was wrong. the noise was off and on for a couple miles. suddenly my emergency brakes slammed on, my dash went red and the alarms went off. no one was in front of or around me. had someone been behind me i would have been rear-ended. this was while i was going approximately 75-80. it could have caused a massive wreck had the freeway been congested. the noise went away after that and i made the rest of my trip without incident. the dealer said they couldn't replicate it and the analysis showed nothing was wrong so there is nothing they can do. i have found web forums and a reddit thread with numerous people complaining about the exact same issue with their newer hyundais. so far a lemon lawyer seems to be the only recourse.

A service bulletin for windshields leaking into 2024 santa cruz and tucson vehicles was issued on 11/02/23 from hyundai, causing passenger side flooding.the length of time these models were exposed to or held water could pose these safety risks: 1 corrosion of various mechanical and electrical parts from water entry for months that could cause safety risks at a later time. ex. certain hyundai vehicles were recalled in 2006-2015 for fires originating from the abs system due to liquid leaks and corrosion caused by failing seals and leaking water. the electric systems could short out, spark, and cause a fire, posing a risk even when the car was not in operation. 2 the possibility of the presence of invisible mold spores that grow quickly inside a closed car environment is a serious health risk for those who have a high allergy to mold, allergic asthma, copd or other lung problems. 3 some vehicles also experienced water entry from a firewall separation from the windshield. if the firewall is part of the unibody construction and protection for components and passengers, this is concerning. 4 inadequate or improper repair instructions cause new owner concerns regarding the integrity of their vehicle. a. hyundai only authorized dealers to “...insert sealant in the area that has been improperly sealed.” an auto water leak tech reported such windshield leaks require a glass company for repairs. the dealer reported around eight other vehicles have experienced the leakage at their shop. i know of no inspections by hyundai or other service techs but is available. i did not know my car had water in the passenger side for the two months i had it. these models have been exposed to water entry from their manufacture date from this defect that somehow slipped through inspection and quality control. a hyundai forum reported that some models experienced windshield leaks back in 2020. i am very concerned that this continues to be a cost cutting practice passed on to consumers.

The vehicle continues to leak water into the floor carpet even after a recall was supposed to fix the windshield leak problem for this car. this can cause mold.

The forward collision avoidance system made me have accident. i was driving on the expressway, the forward collision made the car stop abruptly, then accelerate. as i was veering to the right, the car stopped again in the middle of the expressway causing me to have an accident. this is unacceptable and very unsafe. this vehicle is not safe to drive with the collision warnings.

Serious safety hazard: 2024 hyundai tucson power steering failures i have had numerous power steering failures while this driving vehicle. during these incidents, the steering wheel is extremely difficult to turn. this is a serious safety hazard which could lead to a severe accident and loss of life. during each incident occurrence, i noted a red steering wheel with an exclamation point was displayed on the dashboard. the power steering function is restored once i have found a safe location to pull the car off the road and then i reset the car by switching it off completely and then starting it again. my local dealer has not been able to duplicate the problem nor determine the root cause. the dealership has escalated the issue to hyundai america for technical assistance. i currently have an open case with hyundai motor america national consumer affairs. i have noted similar power steering failure incident reports posted on the nhtsa website for earlier model hyundai tuscon vehicles.

My vehicle has been malfunctioning with the automatic emergency brake. a total of 5 times. i am driving down the road going around 50-65 mph i am the only one in my vehicle and all of the sudden it puts the emergency brake on. it’s like someone else takes over my vehicle. fortunately i have not been rear ended. nobody has been in front of me when this happens the first time. it is not linked to or to be confused with the collision warning, it is wholly the emergency braking system that is put on with the light stating this & throws me forward into the steering wheel. i towed my vehicle into the bakersfield hyundai shop & they have been unable to duplicate my problem with the vehicle. i have lost all confidence in my vehicle due to it has done it a total of 5 times and i just got it in september 2023. it has been in the shop for this month. was taken to them by tow truck on 2/7/24. was told by tow truck driver that i would be in body bag if it happened again especially in front of a diesel truck. this is either a first of a major recall or a lemon car. either way not wanting to get in it again. needs to be addressed and they can’t do anything about it. i do not have any pictures of my vehicle due to it is an internal issue but i do have the paperwork from the dealership shop.

Emergency breaking went on without any traffic around while driving on freeway. the car put the breaks on and took control of the steering. lasted about 10 to 15 seconds.

The rear directionals on my 2024 hyundai tucson are only 2 feet off the ground and only about 2 inches wide. at this location and size i believe they can be difficult to see (unsafe) especially if a large truck is following to close to the tuscon. this is a very uncommon location. most other vehicles have the rear directionals located with the brake lights which are about 4 feet off the ground.

The heating system doesn’t work - have yo run at settings well over 80 yo get a modicum of warmth. each time i took in, they’d give me a loaner and each loaner had same issue. hyundai corporate claims that’s how it should be. alerts keep resetting to off when car is turned off. that way since i bought car and never fixed

We bought tucson 2024 sel from stafford hyundai january 1, 2024. we were happy new vehicle owner and yourself. sales told us it will be good for at least few years without any problem after four months and 22 days the vehicle started not running call chantilly service they connected me with the online service and they suggested us to call roadside assistant and jumpstart. while we talk with them jumpstart vehicle rolled down the driveway the door was open bumped by the carport wall. luckily the vehicle stop didn’t damage anything behind other houses or anything. the door was damaged. we don’t want this vehicle anymore. we want return or replace. it’s a brand new vehicle and it’s a life safety issue and i have a special son., bad battery after four months and rolled down the driveway, i want to mention the service manager instance of empathy he told us nothing last forever have a bad battery after four months and roll down the vehicle is very normal. he mentioned manager checked the role down, but advisor from service said only repair happened bad battery and also he did inform hyundai motor corporation. i spoke with the case manager after i spoke with service manager and he said he never spoke with safford service and no one return his callsl. he tried to call multiple times. gap communication, and false information is giving to us and we purchased this vehicle from here we do not want this vehicle we want return or replacement, otherwise someone has to sign a bond and saying this is safe to drive. if cause any trouble with my family or big acident or death safford hyundai service is reliable for it. they said send it to body shop but they didn’t thank you so much. bellow is case created with hyundai corporation.

There are bolts that are too long in the space for a spare tire that prevents storing a spare tire in the well.

The hyundai i just purchased was packaged with both carpeted and rubber mats. both were priced and charged separately on the hyundai window sticker. the car cannot be bought without paying for both. it is well known that driving with rubber mats over carpet mats creates a serious safety hazard that will can lead to the mat slipping and the driver losing control over speed and braking. i contacted hyundai to warn of the safety issue and request a refund for one of the mat types. they basically told me to get lost. i think a safety violation should be issued against hyundai. i fear someone will get killed because they use both mats in the car since they paid for both.

While driving my vehicle (fewer than 3,000 miles on it) i pulled out of a parking lot onto a busy street. the car suddenly stopped driving, slowing to a complete stop. the dashboard read "auto start stop reset required." i had to place the car in park (on the busy road) and press the start button to resume driving. temperature gauge read normal, gas was full, no oddities showing on my dash board.

The rear seatbelt twists and jams when fully extended to secure a car seat or child in a booster seat. when we took the new car (less than a week after purchasing it)to the dealership to repair the jammed seatbelt, the gentleman in the service department stated that he sees this quite often and that you have to be careful when extending to seatbelt fully to prevent it from twisting and jamming.

My tucson is applying automatic emergency break without a reason. it happened to me 3 times in a week with my tucson hybrid 2024 nline, it was scary and i was on freeway at 70+mph and couldn't capture the warning as it popped out for only 3 sec. i see no cars around when this happened and when i checked few forums i see this as a common problem in hyundai vehicles in recent times and feeling scared. i was lucky enough last week as there is not vehicle behind me when breaks applied automatically.

While driving at a freeway speed of 70mph, my panoramic sunroof basically exploded raining glass everywhere. it sounded like a shotgun blast. there was zero indication of an outside object hitting it. the damage was so extensive it would have to have taken a fairly large object to cause this. it also seemed to have blown the glass outward, which indicates to me that there was some faulty component in the sunroof itself. i've read and watched other people who've had similar incidents

On a recent road trip to utah on 2 occasions the cars automatic breaking system assumed a vehicle in the left lane and ahead of me by a few car lengths, had crossed its lane causing my car to brake abruptly at highway speed. the first time this occurred i was so surprised i don't remember what the other car was doing. however, the 2nd time i do remember the circumstances. i was driving east out of amarillo and noticed a double semi trailer weaving a bit in the right lane. i was one lane to the left. there was a strong south wind and it appeared the truck was having trouble staying in his lane. my lane was clear of traffic for at least 1/2 mile. the highway was was straight. the truck was 100 yards or so in front of me when my car suddenly braked very hard i'm guessing reducing my speed by 20 or more mph. i'm glad there was no one on my tail! there was no danger at anytime and there was no need for such hard braking. a week later, a third incident of the same typed occurred. i was driving on [xxx] heading north in moderate traffic at highway speed and the car again broke heavily when there was no danger. again, a black bmw was to the right of me- this time only 3-4 car lengths ahead. i was watching the that car as i would be overtaking it soon, when it moved close to the dashed lane marking but i don't believe it crossed it, causing my car to brake hard again! again, i was lucky there was no one behind me, but this could have caused an accident! again, there was no danger-- at least until the car hit the brakes too hard. the car collected a lot of bugs on the road trip and i had not washed the car prior to the 3rd incident. the car has been washed and something similar has not occurred again- but i have not needed to drive it on a highway since. part 2 of this problem is the car's spyware called bluelink collects data on driving habits and reports / sells that info to others. in none of these 3 situations did i do anything to cause the car to beh information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6)

When i need to car to accelerate, sometimes it will, and other times i have to push on the gas pedal all the way to try to accelerate. this is extremely dangerous when pulling out in traffic as i am never sure when the car will be working correctly the car shows no codes that there is something wrong, the mechanics cannot figure out what is causing the lack of acceleration. i can be at a red light and try to accelerate and i would have to push the gas all the way down to even get it going. this is an inter written problem, but very concerning when i am trying to cross traffic as i am never sure what my acceleration is going to be.

While my husband was driving on the freeway and i was a passenger in the front seat, the automatic emergency braking employed while we were driving about 70mph. we have no idea why. there was no cars breaking around us, and no reason for it. there was plenty of space between us and the car in front of us. the car behind us had to swerve to the other lane to avoid rear ending us. my husband had to grab hold of the steering wheel hard with both hands as the sudden breaking made our car swerve to the side. it was terrifying. then about 5 seconds after his happened, it happened again.

Defective operation of switch that controls shade panel on panoramic roof. a quick single rearward press should open the shade panel on the panoramic roof. sometimes is does. more often than not a quick single press operates as a long-duration press and opens the shade panel *and* opens the panoramic roof. this was reported to the hyundai mechanic at my initial warranty service and ignored. this issue was again reported to the hyundai service manager at my second warranty visit and he successfully reproduced the issue during his own testing. having the panoramic roof open unexpectedly may be a driving hazard, requiring the driver to respond to the unexpected circumstance, take their eyes off the road to reengage the control switch to be able to close the panoramic roof (what if it is inadvertently opened during a thunder shower, dust storm, or hail storm?)

While slowly pulling into a parking space at a local shopping center, my 2024 hyundai tucson limited suddenly accelerated while i still had my foot on the brakes to stop. the acceleration was so sudden and intense that i had to swerve to avoid a head on collision with a car parked in front of me. it took me a few seconds to gain control of the car, as the engine was revving at a high acceleration rate and the brakes were not working as they should. just as suddenly as it happened, it then stopped and i was able to regain control of the car. had there been other cars in the parking slots nearby, there would have been no to way to avoid a collision.

While driving my 2024 hyundai tuscon limited, 55 mph in left lane on highway, with no cars directly in front of me and only one car alongside me in the right lane, my emergency braking red warning light suddenly came on as the car abruptly braked hard for no apparent reason. within several seconds, i regained control of the car. luckily there wasn't a car closely following me, which thankfully probably averted a collision. i have since made an appointment with the dealer from whom i purchased the car and am awaiting the results of their inspection of the car.

Sudden hard breaking for no reason. it's happened 3 times when in cruise control. if a car had been close behind it would have caused a wreck. i've had the vehicle just over a month

I had the windshield recall repaired and my car still leaked. it has been at the dealership for over 2 weeks for repair. i am concerned whether this vehicle will be safe to drive even after a new windshield is in stalled and all of the carpeting has been replaced. the vehicle is only 8 months old from the time i purchased it from the hyundia dealership

Car shuts off without warning scare that be in an accident if the shuts off on the highway.

I brought my vehicle in to allstar hyundai in baton rouge about a month after purchasing it. i told the service manager my brakes are squealing through out the day. he drove it nothing. he stated it is because of moisture. not true. squealing brakes means the brakes will go out. they refused to change them out. it has continued to happen multiple times each and everyday. i would love to have this reported. i have owned previous hyundai vehicle and others never ever had this problem,. i am going back for an oil change and will once again state 1) i am not stupid2) this should not be happening3) i have spoken to other mechanics and they all stated it is a brake malfunction. what is my next step if they refuse? it always happened when applying brakes at stop signs/lights at speed limits.

On aug. 23rd, i was driving on the highway at 70mph when the emergency braking system deployed. the dashboard warning light flashed and the brakes were applied for approximately 3 seconds, and then the car returned to normal. this occurred 3 times in the span of 18 miles. at no time was there ever a vehicle directly in front of my car. fortunately i wasn't being followed closely by another vehicle, or there would have been an accident. i took the car into the dealer and was told that they would run a diagnostic, which they did. they also drove the car for 3 miles. they were not able to replicate the problem, and found all codes to be normal. i feel like this car is an accident waiting to happen.

While driving n on hwy 75 in dallas, i was traveling at posted speed- 70- in the 2nd of 4 lanes when i was passed on either side by cars 10-15 mph faster than me. they passed almost exactly at the same time. this confused the cars auto breaking feature. the lane ahead was clear for over 100 yrds. my car braked hard and beeped a warning. there was no reason for the car to do this. this is the 3rd time the car has braked on the hwy when it was not necessary. previously, i assumed road trip bugs on the censor caused the issue, that could not have been the cause this time. this is also a concern because the spyware in the car is sold to insurance companies apparently, as bad driving behavior which may affect my rates.

It happened again. while traveling at highway speeds behind a slow poke, 2 cars passed me on either side at nearly the same time. this caused the auto braking system to activate, abruptly slowing my car for now reason. luckily no one was tailgating me at the time. this is the 4th time the car has braked for no good reason on the highway (see previous reports) and the 2nd time when 2 cars passed on either side at the same time. this is clearly a software bug that needs to be fixed!

We were stooped at a red light it turned green we went forward going south a car going east at apox. 30mph ran the red light we hit the car front driver side the force spun us around i hit the steering column with the sternum chest and had a 14x9 inch bruise around my lower abdomen both the seat belt did not hold me nor did the air bag deploy state farm has the car now dealer did nothing

Hesitation upon accelerating from a stopped position. when pulling out from a stop into a busy intersection the vehicle hesitates for several seconds. i have almost been broadsided when attempting to pull out onto a busier roadway. the vehicle feels as though it is stalled, then suddenly lunges. apparently this is a known feature of the hyundai hybrid after reading that it is the top complaint. there are no codes or warning lights that appear. i feel this is a safety issue. a car should move when you put your foot on the accelerator and not just sit there for several seconds. please, please have hyundai resolve this issue. i have had my car to the dealer 3 times for this issue without resolution.

Forward radar sensor pass side lower grill/bumper area. 1st told a sensor recall but after 3 hrs and then seeing the vehicle in the shop with the entire front bumper clip removed the sensor was out of its driver side socket and 1 side flopping around which may have caused a small dimple from the inside to pop out on the 6x5 cover that is the entire lower rubber/plastic black bumper/grill. told the vehicle was hit, yet no visible damage to bumpers or painted surface can be found by their 2 dealerships and their 1 body shop, + 2 mangers, and 1 independent collision shop.1 manager drove the vehicle 10/11 and stated after "is operating as it should". warnings have come on again since then refueling at additional 77 mile and then at 92 miles 10/14. hartford ins has been notified and pending i hope an inspection. vehicle purchased 1st march 2024, 1st warning at 5336mies currently at 5421 miles. they triggered the service engine light and stated via onboard computer it was an issue with a lower front driver side radiator something that may have been bumped while taking off the front clip, which they chipped and area and left a bit of gap at the fender connection. other than the small dimple on the plastic from what i believe the sensor had been bouncing against, there is no damage. a safelight windshield company stated there is a notice/recall on the "auto headlight sensor on dash" but they do not cal them, only the optic sensor top center of windshield. but per the manual that top sensor plus lower radar can control the forward crash, cruise setup and auto braking. need some help since my firm works with all auto/tire mfg and conducts dot tire testing for usa and worldwide independent firms/gov's.

Two incidents while driving on the highway. 1. emergency braking activated on its own. no cars around me. it was a rural area. the red emergency braking activated light showed up and my car braked but resumed driving. this is a new car with less than 4k miles on it. 2. the hands free assist and cruise control were activated. my care swerved to the right abruptly. my hands were on the wheel and i was able to correct this but this is very concerning as my daughter drives this car on mountain roads when she is going to college. i have read online reports when others driving the same make, model and year vehicle.

While driving in light traffic, speed at 45 mph, my tucson alerted me with a beep, steering wheel vibrated and a red alert on the dash was present for about 3 seconds then the speed automatically slows down to 15 mph all on its own while my foot is still on the accelerator. this has occurred at a minimum 6 times. i purchased this vehicle brand new and driving it off the lot it had 22 miles on it. i've taken it to a hyundai dealership, and they can't figure out what it wrong with it. i feel very unsafe and unhappy now of this major safety concern. this has high probability of getting rear ended. i see that this has been occurring with various years of hyundai and am wondering why there has not been a recall on this issue. i owned a hyundai prior to this 2024 (tucson 2011) and it was wonderful. this is highly concerning for me, and i am not confidant driving this vehicle and will more than likely trade it in for another vehicle. can someone please research this issue with the automatic emergency brake system. this can autonomously go off whether you are in traffic, highway, street or completely zero vehicles or pedestrians around.

Car throttle, ac, cruise control, car transmission and gears not correct, radio turns off completely and messes up carplay. also no updated radio. scary car is still new with all of these issues.

Both horns failed in less than 15k miles. any time spent on the internet shows this is a known issue. reporting as a safety problem as you will not know they are gone until you need them to warn another car or person and you have no sound. luckily i was not speeding and paying attention but the kid who rode a bike in front of me when my horns failed - wondered right out. i stopped just short of them. only resulting in them falling over when they finally saw me and freaked out/fell over. horns are located extremely close to the ground and can only be accessed if you remove the entire front bumper and side trim. so this isn't an easy fix for most people when/if they go out.

Headlights get covered with slush and snow while driving causing you to lose vision of the roadway at night. you are not able to see creating a safety risk to you and others on the road, potentially causing an accident that would cause serious injuries or death. yes, it can be inspected upon request. notified our dealer and was advised that this has never been brought to their attention as a problem from any other buyer. during our last vehicle service at our dealership when notifying them of the concern no issues with the vehicle were found. warning lamp (obstruction) appears while driving. when the warning lamp illuminates, we need to pull over (sometimes not in a safe environment), wipe the slush/snow off of the headlights and proceed traveling. after wiping the headlights off, warning lamp on dashboard returns to normal operations.

From the first day of purchase last june 2024, the front collision warning and avoidance system does not perform as advertised. if a vehicle cuts you off or you approach a vehicle too quickly the warning and braking do not intercede. i’ve taken the car to our local deal 3 times and they have found no trouble codes and say there is nothing they can do. i was also told by the service department manager “that they are all like that”. as a reference, we owned a 2019 kia sorrento for 140,000 miles and that collision avoidance system worked perfectly. i also contacted hyundia national service and they simply sent me back to the dealer. lastly, i submitted a lemon law request that was rejected by hyundia.

This car has an option buried deep in the digital menus to limit the speed the car can go. it is impossible to accidentally turn it on. but two times now, the car has set a limit significantly under the road speed limit. for example — the car set a limit of 30 mph in a 45 mph zone, or 20 mph in a 35 mph zone. the only fix is to find a safe place to pull off the road, stop the car and restart. that clears it. i’m lucky that i was not rammed from behind given my forced way-too-slow speed.

While sitting in stopped traffic on the interstate in the dark in the rain on 11/25/2024 my car was in drive; my foot was on the brake. twice the car rolled away despite my attempts to brake or put the car in park (i shoved the shifter into park and the car continued to roll). i rolled into the back of a semi because i could not get my vehicle to stop. this had already been noted as a problem with 2024 tucsons, yet your search engine tells me there are 0 unrepaired recalls for my car. i want to call this out as an unrepaired recall. i have left it with the hyundai dealer at the moment. they tell me if they cannot make the problem happen for them they won't do anything to fix my car. this is a dangerous situation for me and for anyone with a tucson that may have the same problem.

The contact owns a 2024 hyundai tucson. the contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the horn was inoperable. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the horn needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired. the contact related the failure to tsb: 23-be-008h (horn assembly); however, the vin was not included in the tsb. the manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was opened. the failure mileage was 68,412.

Information screen remains on when car is placed in reverse blocking 25% of the rear view camera. no option to disable or remove the information screen. should be able to have 100% of rear camera for safety.

While driving, car suddenly slowed and would not accelerate as normal with accelerator depressed. a dashboard warning "check hybrid system" appeared and acceleration was unable to power car up hill. driver forced to pull over on shoulder. after turning off and turning on vehicle, issue seemed to temporarily resolve itself. dealer was unable to identify any faults in the car 3 days after this incident, and returned car to owner. a week later, the same issue occurred. car would not accelerate after stop sign. when pressing accelerator, car coasted forward a a few mph. turning off vehicle and turning on again resulted in normal performance resuming.

Horns failing after being replaced by hyundai. a kid was running and heading on a path in front of the suv. pushed the horn and another failure. luckily the brakes work - the kid didn't stop. first attempt to fix: 14,612 miles - current miles at 2nd failure 17463.

Sudden loss of speed for no reason. was traveling at 35 mph when vehicle suddenly dropped to 22 mph. stepped on gas with no response. i know the 22 mph because it showed up on warning illuminator. car behind me almost hit me because he had no indication (prior warning). turned off at closest exit, turned vehicle off then on restart things were normal. took to dealer and they found nothing in computer code or mechanical to explain why this happened. am an older women afraid what will happen if repeats on highway going 70+ mph. please made hyundia find and fix.

While driving my 2024 hyundai tucson at highway speeds on a clear day with no surrounding traffic, i was startled by an extremely loud bang that sounded like an explosion. pieces of shattered glass rained down inside the passenger cabin, creating a potentially hazardous situation. this incident was a traumatic experience. the sudden and unexpected event had the potential to cause serious injury to the driver, as well as increase the risk of a collision due to the shock and distraction it caused. additionally, other pieces of shattered glass were propelled from the vehicle, posing a risk of injury or damage to other drivers on the road. upon physical inspection, it was noted that the glass from the panoramic sunroof was bowed upwards, which suggests the explosion originated from within the sunroof and not an external factor such as road debris or a rock. the vehicle, which is less than a year old, is currently at the hyundai dealership pending an investigation. given the severity of the incident and the potential risks to driver and passenger safety, i strongly recommend that a recall be issued or a comprehensive investigation be initiated by the nhtsa to prevent further occurrences of such dangerous incidents. safety must be a priority, and swift action is necessary to ensure that no other drivers or passengers are at risk of similar events.

Forward collision emergency braking. have had this happen on 5 different occasions. very dangerous. the vehicle without warning slams on the emergency brakes and issues a warning. took into dealer and they could find no error codes and did nothing. first time this happened i thought maybe a bag or something flew up and obscured the forward facing sensors. pulled over and checked nothing. then 3 times it happened within 5 minutes. pulled over and sensors looked fine no dirt or anything on the sensors. can not drive car with this and so have been disabling the system except for a warning tone. today it activated it again. usually when i approach something the sensors turn yellow and then red when getting real close to an object. but today when it activated when not close to anything and driving down the road all the forward sensors activated with the warning but it was gray. (not yellow or red) since i had it on warning only the brakes did not activate. this is very dangerous and unless you disable the automatic emergency braking could lead someone to plow into the backend of the suv and it evidentially does not cause error codes. yes,someone can contact me concerning this. this has happened multiple times. intermittently.

Issue has happened twice now, about 2 months apart. driving at highway speeds, 60-75 mph, no other cars around, no reason for braking or stopping, the emergency brake comes up for a few seconds, abruptly slowing the car down for no reason. very scary as the car starts to slow down from a high speed, very jolting. i've complained to hyundai but they claim they are not aware of the issue and there are no codes the vehicle puts out so they cant investigate further without replicating the issue, but its random and you don't know when its happening. i've looked online and it appears there are quite a bit of 2023/2024 tucson's that are having the exact same issue i am.
