2017-06-05	LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:HOOD:LATCH	Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2013-2017 Santa Fe and Santa Fe Sport vehicles. In the affected vehicles, the secondary hood latch actuating cable may corrode and bind, causing the secondary hood latch to remain in the unlatched position when the hood is closed. Remedy: Hyundai will notify owners, and dealers will replace the secondary latch cable, free of charge. The recall began on August 4, 2017. Owner’s may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-671-3059. Hyundai’s number for the recall is 163.

We have not gotten repaired yet, but our motor is locked up. The mechanic said there were two rod bearings that were bad and that the oil pump was working but there were metal shavings in the pan. The car just lost power out while traveling down the highway 59 a busy hwy and my son almost was not able to find a place to pull over. There are cement barriers all up and down this highway due to construction. Very Dangerous. He was lucky to find a place. When he pulled over the car just died. No power at all. He tried to crank with no luck. He make a phone call to me and his Dad. We came it took us around 45 min to get there or longer. First thing we did was tried to jump it off, second check the oil and water. Oil was full on dip stick and water was fine. After trying to start it we started calling for a tow truck. After sitting on side of road for around four hours we finally left the car there and headed home. The driver called and assured us he was almost there. Towed it to Hwy 36 Auto and Transmission Repair out of Needville Tx which was the nearest repair shop to where we were sitting on the hwy. My warranty was out with Hyundai Motors. Buy when i bought my car on A MEMORIAL DAY SPECIAL WEEKEND DEAL i was given (NOT) a Veterans Day Blowout Special Deal that came with a 1,000 dollar off my car and doubled my POWER TRAIN WARRANTY to 200,000 x or 20 YEARS. When my car broke down the mileage was just at 110,000 or just over a little. And so I got out my warranty papers and called back the Repair Shop in Needville. Told them to call in the claim. At first i was going to pay my self…but i remembered about my warranty. So he tore into the motor and it has been a lengthy process. Now i\'ve been without my car since July 26th 2018 and it is now September 10th 2018 and i still don\'t have a car back….and the warranty people says they are going to deny my claim. NOW MIND YOU THIS IS A 2015 CAR AND HAS BEEN SERVICE WITH TOP PRIORITY AND ONLY HAS HWY MILES ON IT. They said because the shop owners got rid of the oil the are denying the claim. That is not my fault. Thier three different claims adjusters that have been in contact with this shop should have told them that they should have kept the oil. The mechanic told the adjuster that the oil looked good but there were meter shavings in the oil pan…and that the rod bearings were blue…burnt up…..from somehow not getting proper oil flow….but the oil was good except for the shavings in it. So you tell me what a lady is supposed to do here. I\'m furious. This is not the first time i\'ve seen that this warranty company does this to thier customers either. PLEASE HELP ME>>>>> The insurance Company is EFG out of Irving Tx.
