2016-02-03	AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:DRIVER SIDE:INFLATOR MODULE	Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain model year 2007-2011 Honda CR-V, 2011-2015 CR-Z, 2010-2014 FCX, and Insight, 2009-2013 Fit, 2013-2014 Fit EV, 2007-2014 Ridgeline, 2013-2016 Acura ILX, 2013-2014 Acura ILX Hybrid, 2007-2016 RDX, 2005-2012 Acura RL, 2009-2014 Acura TL, and 2010-2013 Acura ZDX vehicles. The affected vehicles are equipped with a dual-stage driver frontal air bag that may be susceptible to moisture intrusion which, over time, could cause the inflator to rupture. Remedy: Honda will notify owners, and dealers will replace the inflator, free of charge. The recall began March 2017. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda’s numbers for this recall are JY0, JY1, and JY2.

I brought my car 17 days ago, It was dark when when the paperwork was completed, after driving the car home it was not driven until the 3rd day, due to fact of the paperwork needing approval from honda the following day, I called the financial dept back to make sure the paperwork went through, and to and inform the salesman of the tape and 2 snags in the seat, I took it back for them to remove the tape, a couple days later,and they removed most of the tape but they made no comment about the 2 snags in the driver’s seat, the next day i seen some some tape that was missed so I called back and still no mention of about the seat, well the next week 5/28/2014 when the sun was shinning brightly you could see swirl marks in the paint and I called the salesman back, he said to bring the car back and I did, the same day, I went to the service dept and they remembered me from a few days earlier and I explained to them the problem ,after inspecting the car, they said it would take about 45 mins to complete the buffing and hand wash, when the car was finished I inspect it again and noticed more swirl marks and he said that you only told me about the ones on the hood even though he could see what I was talking about, and said that we are only going to do the hood, and then he stated that I had 2 dings in the top of my hood and I asked where, I did not have dings prior to coming there, At this point the car is only 16 days old, and he was already telling what he was not going to be responsible for, of course I am mad because after the 1st inspection of the car and seeing more swirls in the paint, and them taking my car back to get the swirls a second time, same visit, I asked to speak with the salesman,( Orlando Itza) who sold me the car, we went to look see my car in the back to where it was being detail, and seen with my own eyes a kid around 16 detailing my vehicle. I did not explode just yet, While my car was being pulled up to the front of the dealership as i was walking back to see the sales manager, and some young kid got out of it and he must have had something sharp in his pockets because he rip my new seat cover drivers side, after going over my concerns with the sales manager (Mike Demetriades) he tried to tell me he did not see anything at first but after showing him what I was talking about he tried to give me an excuse, and then finally told me to return the following Tuesday drop the car off and it would be fixed, I was given no receipt of any kind for neither visit, which is rare, the bottom line is the paint on my car is messed up and now I have two dings on the top of my vehicle, which were not there, I was told the swirls in the paint is normal I find it hard to believe since I have owned two other new honda vehicles in the past with no problems, and the condescending way in which I was spoken to as if I have no insights or rights but to accept what I was being told, since I am a woman, so when I returned home I contacted the corp number (1800-999-1009) for honda and I believe the (regional manager),( Ken Ogawa) spoke with me the next day, 5/29/2014 and to no avail he kept asking me even after I answered his question every time what I wanted honda to do,my answer ever time was to go to a different dealership or replace my car, instead of going back to that dealership that I now feel uncomfortable with, he tried to bargain with me by saying what if they use detailer’s (not the kids ) would I go back, I stated no, I explained to him, if the dealer don’t care about children fixing a serious problem the first time , and this will be my 4th time (2 times 1 visit) if I had agreed to bring it back and considering the new dings issue and the driver seat cover damaged on that visit, why would I return, he did not understand or care because it is not his new car, so I ask for his manager’s name and he told me he had to decline, giving me, his name so I said ok and goodbye because I was at work, so when I got home today 5/29/2014, I called honda corp again today told them the problem and they stated that a guy named Brian which is suppose to be his manager, is supposed to call me back within 24 hrs we will see what happens, but I am absolutely upset and I am trying very hard to go up the chain of command, without blowing my top. why would anyone buy a new car that had to be serviced on the paint right away, or agree to have children detailing your new car.
