TIPM Fuel Relay Failure. Vehicle had to be jump started every morning for a week and now it won’t start at all. At first, we changed the battery, the alternator, and the fuel pump before finding out that we need a whole new TIPM, costing us thousands of dollars all together. I have currently been without a vehicle for 3 weeks while waiting for the new TIPM to arrive as it on back order.

The TIPM is causing problems. We\'ve very recently had the fuel pump replaced and power was not going to the fuel pump. So it was discovered that the fuse box or TIPM is malfunctioning and is causing a number of issues. The mechanic shop acquired the dealer (parts department) bypass kit and installed it. After only one day of use, the engine randomly shut off, once while on the road driving within traffic. A number of dash warning lights came on and off, some not naming sense at all… I contacted the dealership and inquired about a replacement and found out they want $1,000?! We just spent $500 for a new fuel pump, + relay bypass kit, and now they expect another $1,000?! For the last few nights, I have been researching the TIPM issue and discovered lawsuits among other related information. This is supposed to be a recall, not a scapegoat?! Why are they allowing this to happen!

Van turned off while driving 60 mph on a busy highway. Power steering and Power braking was disabled. My husband had to haphazardly pilot the vehicle to the side of the road. We had the car towed to the dealership who insisted that the only problem found after several diagnostics was a dead battery after having the van for 14 days. We replaced the battery.

We got the van back and as we pulled into the driveway, it shut off again. 09/2/2017. We just had it towed back to the dealership. This is a serious safety issue. We could have been in a dangerous crash.

First Issue: Lifters started to break down, causing a tapping sound when running. While driving, on three occasions the temperature gauge rose to about the 3/4 mark (where it normally sat just below half) and the performance of the car became sluggish. Metal shaving damaged both camshafts, covered by extended warranty, but cost about $1500 to repair. Took in for repair July 1, 2017, required a full week to repair.

Second issue: The Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) failed, symptom was engine turning over but not starting until tried several times (push button start). Happened a few times in isolation, took it in after happening twice in a day (and the third time in a week). TIPM was not covered by extended warranty. Took in August 16, 2017, requires about 3 days to repair at a cost of $1200. We have video showing this behavior.

Push button start fails to start engine when pressing button. Has been doing it once in a while since new such as every 6 mos. But recently in Aug 2016 it became more often, weekly then daily. Dealer says they can\'t duplicate it but when I get it back it presents it self. I purchased this vehicle new and it only has 23,500 miles on it.

The TIPM was replaced by the dealer after the engine stalled or kept running, could not shut it off. Other electrical problems occurred when both sliding side doors would not open or close for a week and then they would work perfectly, then not work.

Finally indentified a Faulty TIPM – linked to cause of all above problems.

Dealer diagnosed “Blindspot sensor” failure causing all the above issues. $2200.00 repair bill quoted. Have not picked up vehicle as of yet to verify repair.

Car does not start, no ligths, no radio, no cluster. Door can not be unlocked, Needs to be jumped. Engine stalls, shuts off. Some times take 5, 6 times to start up. Some other times work well. Charging system it has been checked, fuel pump is good.

The battery is usually dead in the morning and the vehicle will be unresponsive to the key fob. Accessory mode will not engage, but a clicking noise can be heard coming from the fuse box area under the hood. The vehicle will not start unless it is jump started. Alternator has been checked and is found to be good, we replaced the battery in October 2015, but it is still dead every morning.
