I am writing to notify you of the continuing problems that I am having with Chrysler. I have been mislead, deceived and neglected for NINE (9) MONTHS. I was sold a 2010 Chrysler Town & Country, VIN #2A4RR2D17AR357012 that was a Lemon. This car was replaced with a 2011 Chrysler Town & Country, VIN #2A4RR5DG7BR609560. The only item missing from this 2011 vehicle was the installed rear DVD player, which we paid an additional $1,342.00.
We were informed in April 2011 by Chrysler that we must take delivery of 2011 Chrysler Town & Country, VIN #2A4RR5DG7BR609560 even though it did not have the DVD player that we purchased because Chrysler did not want us to put an additional miles on the 2010 lemon. We took delivery of the 2011 Town & Country in May 2011 and were told that the DVD would be installed in two weeks.
We have waited nine months and still do not have the DVD player. We have contacted the dealer on several occasions regarding this matter. The dealer states that it is still waiting for the DVD part from Chrysler.
I have contacted the Customer Care department on several occasions. I have been spoken to Crystal, Debbie (Supervisor) and Mahum (Supervisor). These individuals all stated that it is not their problem and that I would have to wait for the DVD part. Yesterday, Mahum stated that his department only handles warranties and contract issues. I informed him that Chrysler was in breach of contract and he stated that was my opinion. We paid for a DVD player and Chrysler has not provided the DVD player, which is a breach of the contract.
The Customer Care department states that it can not provide me a date when the DVD part will arrive and that I should speak with the Danbury Dealer. The Danbury Dealer states that it is Chrysler who has not delivered the part to it to install in my car. Chryslers Custom Care department has not provided any concrete answers on how to solve the problem. The Customer Care Department has acted in bad faith. We have currently waited NINE MONTHS with no end in sight for the DVD part to arrive and still do not have an answer as to when to expect the part. Chryslers handling of this matter has caused me significant stress and harm.
