In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the passenger frontal air bag, these passenger air bag inflator may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to absolute humidity and temperature cycling. Remedy: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the passenger frontal air bag inflator, free of charge. The recall began February 28, 2018. 2015-07-10	AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:DRIVER SIDE:INFLATOR MODULE	Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2008-2010 Dodge Challenger vehicles manufactured September 19, 2007, to October 29, 2010. The affected vehicles are equipped with a dual-stage driver frontal air bag that may be susceptible to moisture intrusion which, over time, could cause the inflator to rupture. Remedy: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver’s frontal air bag inflator, free of charge. The recall began on November 17, 2015. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler’s number for this recall is R37.
2010-10-07	STEERING:ELECTRIC POWER ASSIST SYSTEM	CHRYSLER IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2010 CHRYSLER SEBRING, 300, CHARGER (LX) AND DODGE CHALLENGER (LC), AVENGER (JS), AND JOURNEY (JC), AS WELL AS MODEL YEAR 2011 DODGE RAM LIGHT DUTY PICKUP (DS) VEHICLES. SOME OF THESE VEHICLES MAY EXPERIENCE A SEPARATION AT THE CRIMPED END OF THE POWER STEERING PRESSURE HOSE ASSEMBLY. 2010-05-11	ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION:MODULE	CHRYSLER IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2010 CHRYSLER 300, DODGE CHALLENGER, CHARGER, JEEP COMMANDER, GRAND CHEROKEE AND DODGE RAM VEHICLES. THESE VEHICLES MAY HAVE BEEN BUILT WITH A WIRELESS IGNITION NODE (WIN) MODULE EXHIBITING A BINDING CONDITION OF THE SOLENOID LATCH. 2009-10-29	WHEELS:LUGS/NUTS/BOLTS	CHRYSLER IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2009 THROUGH 2010 PASSENGER VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH REAR WHEEL DRIVE. THESE VEHICLES MAY HAVE BEEN BUILT WITHOUT A FRONT WHEEL SPINDLE NUT. Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE TIRE AND WHEEL ASSEMBLY AND IF FOUND WITHOUT A SPINDLE NUT IT WILL BE REPAIRED FREE OF CHARGE. On April 10, 2010, I purchased a new 2010-Dodge-Challenger-vin 1ZVFT82H675257810 from Clear Lake Dodge. Within months after purchasing I began experiencing cosmetic and electrical problems. The following are just some of the faults with this vehicle; face of radio would open but wouldnt close and vice versa, air bag light was constantly on and now I dont see it at all, U connect faulty, headliner dropped when windows were open, A/C only worked on high, A/C vent had very little air blowing out, navigation was constantly redirecting, a delay in radio display, IPOD connection in center console is loose and cord is difficult to remove, sunroof would not close, no key fad displayed when attempting to start and while driving, oil change required and contact dealer consistently displays after vehicle starts, EPS/Bag/Brake/ABS/Engine lights came on and remain lit while driving.
Throughout the past four years of owning this vehicle I have taken my car to Clear Lake Dodge in Webster TX, Mac Haik Dodge in Houston TX, Dublin Dodge in Dublin, Georgia, Allen Samuels Dodge in Katy TX and Helfman Dodge in Houston TX for similar if not the same faults which are still unresolved. These dealerships have attempted to fix the above problems but was unsuccessful with all except the lining inside vehicle. In conjunction with communicating with the dealerships to repair my vehicle I also notified Dodge Headquarters in Auburn, Michigan. The following Case Numbers to the faults on the vehicle; 19596772, 22007076, 22317839, 22607291, 23137544, 23246617, 23369567, 23513000, 23937285, 25167823, 25365823 and 25397199.
To date, I have taken my vehicle to 5 different dealerships for repairs that have rendered my vehicle unreliable and unsafe for traveling which is my career. These faults have led to consequential losses: Ive missed school, Ive missed work, Ive literally borrowed a vehicle for 2 months due to mine being in the repair shop, I have spent hundreds of dollars on rental vehicles to assure a safe, reliable mode of transport to/from work when Im on call for the hospital and not to mention the gas/time/mileage. I am not happy about spending $50,000.00 for a brand new car and the odometer reads less than 50,000 miles and it possesses serious faults.
In conclusion Im requesting one of the following resolutions; I am requesting a vehicle of the same type and similar values or a vehicle of equal cost and similar values. Im hoping that we can come to a swift resolution because school starts on August 25, 2014. As part of studies I am required to drive between school and my assigned hospital and I need my vehicle to do so.
On October 3, 2014 I met with someone name Steve or Steven, who is a regional manager for Dodge Service in Texas. After he listened to my complaint regarding the vehicle he stated ‘if we can’t duplicate it we can’t fix it’ even after I told him I have video tape of problem. He then offered $3000.00 toward another even though I ask for $5000.00. I’m not happy with his offer but I feel forced to take it.
