Randomly Horn blares, wipers turn on ,windows roll down, lights turn on, flashers flash, power steering goes out, engine stalls, airbag lights come on, ABS lights come on, all warning indicator lights come on, all lasting sometimes over 15 minutes. This has happened over 7 times in a 6 month period. It will go away for awhile then come back. It happens when parked in the garage at night, parked in grocery store parking lot, parked at work in the parking lot and worst yet 4 times while driving while almost causing accidents due to no control and confusion. I cannot believe this hasnt been fixed or someone hasnt died from this. I have called Crysler repair shops and they play confused on the issue. While online there are forums disscussing the same issues, even determining the cause, a bad computer module called TIPM. Something must be done and this needs to be fixed. Im tired of spending more money on all these repairs that chrysler knows about and does nothing for it. Shame on Chrysler. I pray something is done before a life is taken. Who knows how many have been because of this. Will never know cause theres no admittence of this issue. Thank you

I went out and started my van, the wipers turned on automatically so I thought maybe I had turned the handle somehow… so I turned it off and that\'s when everything went wrong. All the dash lights started flashing and cycling through start up checks and then saying everything is off abs, airbags etc. the seat was even repositioning itself. I took out my phone and started recording this weird episode that I have never seen before. I bought this van 5 months ago and don\'t know of its history, but this is not something anyone should have to deal with. 3 days later my Wife was driving down the road when this started happening to her, the difference was that she sits closer to steering wheel then I do and the seat was jerking her back and forth while driving and scared her. Thanks dumbasses. I bought this van because I wanted the stow and go seats and side curtain safety along with everything else. My van is a loaded limited edition with most available options. After looking around the internet it seems like the TIPM or a loose connection could be the problem and that dealerships are pretty much a waste of time for help on this. Chrysler knows of the issues because it happens across their vehicles and have only fixed certain models. The fact that a cracked shorting wire in the power door or a loose connector could cause all this is to go wrong is just poor engineering. The problem has happened several times in the past three years. A repair kit to satisfy two recalls was installed on June 5, 2015, but has apparently not solved the problem.

I have a 2009 Chrysler Town and Country which I started having random but persistent ignition/turnover/electrical problems with starting in June 2013. I have a lifetime Chrysler warranty which along with my generous dealership, has provided be to date with over 24+ rental vehicles while my car has been at my dealership sometimes up to 1 month at a time. One day when I drove to church, upon reentering to leave, the van would not start/turnover. I knew it was not my battery since I had recently had it replaced through AAA several months prior. I thought it might be the alternator. The AAA tow truck driver tested both the battery and the alternator which were fine. He was unable to start the van and towed it to the dealer. The dealer called me the next day asking what was wrong with the vehicle. When I told them, they said it started fine. No codes are ever present and I believe the computer system wipes them out. In addition to the turnover issue, I have had numerous electrical issues which show problems on my dash. Problems have been typically on the driver side of the van to include – Blind Spot Detection System showing unavailable, Remote Start not working and instead locking and unlocking the doors, the back brake lamp being out when not, the XM stereo system being unavailable and wiping out preset stations, TPM module alert, electrical outlets not functioning in the car, the drivers seat not holding a preset program etc… The issues are still unresolved after 17 months. I have had the FOBIKS replaced 2x, WIN module, ignition module etc…This has created GREAT anxiety and pain and suffering for me and my 4 kids. We have a vehicle that is a lemon and the Chrysler engineers and company do not care. The time I have personally wasted trying to resolve these issues, the frustration and insult of Chrysler Customer Service telling me that this is all “driver error”, and the anxiety of being stranded when traveling out of state are unbearable. I have had the same exact problems on 2 T&C 2014 Enterprise rentals. I DO NOT WANT A TRADE IN! I want engineers to fix safely their defective design! I have friends who have Jeeps, Dodges with similar FOBIK/turnover/electrical issues. It is NOT just my car! Please come clean Chrysler and be concerned enough with your customer safety and not your greedy bottom line.
