My current problem seems very unusual–the car has been blowing different types of irritating debris of various colors (especially white and black) as well a feathery white particles and sand like substances into my face, eyes and clothes since January. The debris come from the ventilation system and can periodically be seen and felt blasting out of the vents on the dashboard and in the passenger cabin. I found out my Touring edition has no cabin filter, so I am unprotected. I have tried since that time to fix it, including having the dash removed, cleaned and the evaporator from the air conditioner replaced, but after 4 mechanics, the problem keeps coming back. Despite wearing a scuba mask when I drive, I have made several trips to the eye doctor, fight constantly with debris in my eyes and suffered a scratched cornea. My eyesight has worsened since the problem started. Now I am more than ready to get rid of the car. I need to find out if anyone else had this problem, and what my remedy! The dealer says there is nothing else they can do and the problem is not under warranty, nor is it covered by any of their service plans.
We leased a 2007 Chrysler Town & Country Limited in Feb. 2007. The Climate control that controls the Temperature has never operated properly. Every time we bring vehicle to dealer they always say it works properly. It has never worked properly when it is hot out you have to set indoor temp to 95 degrees in order to have a comfortable temp. It is always too cold! We took delivery of a T&C Touring Model $33,000.00 and it didn’t have the automatic climate control. We told them with my health problems we needed climate control. They said it was only available on the Limited model and it would cost $7,000.00 more. We agreeded to the increase and took delivery of a Limited model. The very thing we wanted Climate Control has never worked properly. I have filed to complaints with Chrysler Corp. Corperate office and that has done nothing. The system does not work properly! What can we do?? We are senior citizens and live on a small pension and Social Security, and can’t afford a lawyer. Thanking you in advance for your assistance. Larry Stimpson
