My Saab 9.5 wagon was in the shop just before this trip. Although they claimed a sludge build up in the engine, they failed to do anything do to waiting on Saab approvals. Alas, on the trip, the tach sensor went out leaving me on the side of the road. Saab of Charlotte, replace the part, and got me home. After returning home and taking the car back to the dealer about the sludge issues, I am still unable to get any answers out of the dealer on getting the issue addressed. I continue to periodically have a barking noise at startup, and the dealer and regional rep seem to be hoping I will just go away. Their major complaint is that I bought the car used (Saab fleet car) and that I have no records from before my purchase.
