Takata Update: Deadly Incidents Continue as Automakers Struggle to Meet Takata Recall Repair Deadlines
The Center for Auto Safety is the nation’s premier independent, member driven, non-profit consumer advocacy organization dedicated to improving vehicle safety, quality, and fuel economy on behalf of all drivers, passengers, and pedestrians.
Despite fast-approaching government deadlines to replace deadly and defective Takata airbag inflators, automakers have yet to achieve acceptable recall completion rates. The Center for Auto Safety recommends that all consumers check the NHTSA VIN Recall Lookup to determine whether their vehicle is subject to these recalls.
