The Center for Auto Safety is the nation’s premier independent, member driven, non-profit consumer advocacy organization dedicated to improving vehicle safety, quality, and fuel economy on behalf of all drivers, passengers, and pedestrians.

Deduct 10 points if consumers lose rights under other laws by using lemon law. 
Deduct 10 points if consumers must sue by end of presumption period; 5 points if within 3 months of end of presumption period or within 18 months of initial purchase date.  
Deduct 10 points if consumers must go through manufacturer arbitration program before suing; 5 points if through state run arbitration.  Deduct 10 points for mandatory fees to prevailing party.  Deduct 5 points if only right of action is appeal from decision of state run arbitration, ie, no independent cause of action.
