2015 HONDA Accord

I was leaving my house I backed out of garage and put in in drive. It shot to the left I couldn’t control the car. Thank god it went into the fence it hit four poles and finally stopped before going into busy intersection. That was the second time its done that. the first time I was able to stop it and turn my car off.

My Honda has been at the dealership thtee times once in July 2017 once October 3rd 2017 and again October 17th 2017

I have had my Honda iat the dealership three times. Once in July 2017 once in Oct 2017 and again October 17th all three times for rodent damage.

2015 Honda Accord has passenger side rear brake noise problem. Lute Riley dealership said this is due to brake pads wear out. However, it is very rare that a new car with less two and half years old and mileage less than 35K has rear brake wear-out. My previous Toyota Camry never had rear brake pad out for more than 12 years and > 155K. The Honda rear brake pad problem is due to Honda\'s rear brake design/fabrication/material problem. Thus Honda should take all the responsibility.

The drivers seat is causing extreme back pain. I\'m going to have to trade in this almost new car and most likely lose a couple of thousand dollars because of a seat.

I purchased my vehicle towards the end of December 2014 with 100 miles on it. By the end of June 2015, I began to notice that when I brake, any mileage over 55, there was vibration in the steering wheel. I took the vehicle back to the dealer in July and was advised that the rotors need to be resurfaced. I was advised that this would be covered under warranty. My mileage at this time was 14,032. By the end of December 2015, I was getting the vibration in the steering wheel again; but it would happen occasionally. By mid-to end of January it was happening more frequently. I took my vehicle back to the dealer on February 5, 2016 and was advised that my rotor would need to get resurfaced again. This time I would be responsible for the cost. I paid $115.51. My mileage at this time was 26,038.

It is surprising that I would need to get this procedure done after owning my car for less than a year.

Poor support in front bucket seats; causes back pain.

I bought this car a week ago and I have been having serious back pain since. The seat is so uncomfortable. It claims to have lumbar support, but the shape of the seat just makes you sit in a very uncomfortable position.

While reversing out of a parking space on 5/10/2021 the car would not turn while the wheel was being turned. instead of turning, the car was driven straight out until there was enough room to go forward. once in drive mode, there were no additional steering issues.

Constantly feels like its pulling but to a specific side like poor alignment but just jerky and sometimes its a really hard pull for no reason. i really have to make sure i drive with the upmost caution. especially when its wet.

After parking and pressing the shutoff button, the steering wheel jerked out of the drivers hand approximately 70 degrees but the tires were straight.

Was driving on rt 440 in jersey city on a straight road and suddenly the steering wheel wouldn't take control and ended up on a guard rail. the car was totalled. my son devin was the driver. he had whip lash and his neck still hurts.the accident occurred on 4/30/21. police were there. no summons were given. the accident was reported to the insurance.

Lost steering while driving on highway at 75 mph and car started swerving both left and right crossing both lanes. car veered off of a bridge embankment with no control of steering the whole time. the power steering and stability control warning lights came on during the event. this happened to my 22 year old daughter on april 21, 2021. no other cars involved in the accident and no injury to my daughter thank goodness.

Try starting my honda accord 2015 after church and fcw system failed popped up with other lights. every time i started my car it would automatically turn off again. and once again popped up fcw system with ldw system failed. car didn’t start so i had aaa tow it to my house. when i got home i try starting it again and it started with same lights. fcw,ldw,low tire pressure,electric power steering and malfunction indicator lamp. going to call honda department today. hopefully they will be able to fix the problem. i’ve been doing some research and seen a lot of people have the same problem. this is the last thing i need to be worried about. on top of covid-19 and losing my job. now my car going out. i will think twice before purchasing another honda. honda please fix the problem.

Long story short, i took the 2015 honda accord for a test drive and it seemed fine. the next day after driving quite a bit my lower back started burning. i couldn't adjust the seat to make it comfortable or stop the back pain. it felt like it cut off the circulation in my legs after just driving 30 miles. i couldn't take it back to the dealership but they paid for me to get a seat wedge for more cushion. that just put me higher in the seat and the lumbar at my tailbone. i have to drive a lot for my work and it's killing my lower back and neck. i've tried numerous cushions, pads and back supports but nothing seems to make this seat work. i can't drive it without pain and am at a loss on what to do other than take a massive loss.

Push to start not working properly. crank with no turnover or just clicks. the car usually starts after multiple attempts. a new starter is needed. *tr

Brakes locked up on dry road fcw system failed abs light traction control light engine light parking brake light ldw light all came on within two weeks lights coming off and on diagnosis from honda dealership car requires new abs module for $1800 however part is on national back order and i am required to drive the car without a functioning abs system for several months this part should not have to be replaced brakes have been locking up loud clunking system from underneath car front suspension. this is extremely unsafe to have these cars on the road i work in home health care and have to drive for work however i’m unable to afford a rental car and honda will not provide me with a loaner car until this problem can be fixed recall should be issued for these unsafe vehicles

Rear camera stop working for no reason and forwards collision doesn’t work well when it’s hot.

My 2015 honda accord ex-l v6 will randomly decide not to start. there is no warning and battery has been changed multiple times. it passes all tests for voltage, but just doesn’t start at least 3 times a day. very dangerous, and leaves you unsure of how you will make it home. causes extreme anxiety.

Almost on a daily basis the car will not start. after several tries it will start as if nothing happened. when i would try to start it, it just clicks, doesn’t turn over. all my lights and radio lights turn on except the car. after 2-3 tries it comes on. then there are some mornings where it starts no problem. just hit and miss. i am scared of getting stranded somewhere out of the blue! this is a recall problem due to a bad design change of the solenoid in the starter. i also smelled smoke a few times.

Ignition key turned and only heard a click. had to turn off and on many times for it to eventually start engine, if lucky. did not even hear the engine crank. best guess is starter failure.

Car will not start, fcw/ldw light on cranks over but will not start after about ten tries it will finally start with check engine light, tire pressure monitor flashing, fcw, ldw lights on and the message display says fcw failure. after system is re set with a scanner it has done it three more times, honda does not seem to know what is wrong with the car.

My 2015 accord v6 has a starting problem where the starter will grind several times before the car will start. this happens about every 3 to 5 weeks. the car will eventually start after several attempts. although this problem does not occur every time, i am concerned i will be stranded.

Centrlock system is acting weird on all doors randomly.

Engine will not start. 2015 honda accord has about 84k miles. i have been stranded twice now because my car won't start and often requires between 2-4 attempts to start the engine. the cluster lights turn on and everything powered by the battery is working, without the engine starting. i have replaced the battery 3 times (march 2018, january 2020, march 2021). previous battery was tested and had plenty of voltage left and was charging well, so the alternator is working well. key fob battery replaced 2 times, most recently december 2020 and is working fine. i believe the starter is defective and i have read countless reports online stating the same issue, and this needs to be investigated and addressed, especially because the part itself is between $150-180 online and the dealership cost to replace this is $1k and above...

Hello the car was working fine yesterday and today will not start. this has happened before . it makes clicking but refuses to start. i had it checked at ntb could nor find any issues with battery. i am now looking into buying a $400 part + labor to replace a starter on a less than 70000 car. i will never buy a honda again. this brand has an issue and refuses to acknowledge it. *tr

Page 2 of 2 - i have since taken the vehicle to brandon honda and basically was advised by a service advisor, manager and america honda co that my vehicle is “operating by design”, “my issues could not be duplicated on several test drive attempts” and “it’s a safety feature” talking about when the vehicle can engage into reverse. as of today i have no resolution to the cvt transmission and front end concerns brought to the attention of brandon honda. i was also told by a service technician that “this was a safety feature” and “it’s operating as designed” which both are not solutions to resolve a mechanical/safety defect in the vehicle or design. i have given brandon honda multiple tsbs to review each visit and kept having them rejected. one of those tsbs mentions having to drop the transmission to replace a module inside of the casing. obviously the dealership is doing whatever they can to avoid having to perform this repair and keep dragging their feet to accomplish absolutely nothing. the original honda case # [xxx] was opened and then closed via voicemail prior to me receiving my vehicle back from the dealership to determine if the issue was resolved, yet to my satisfaction. what will it take for honda to act and make my vehicle, experience whole????? i bought my vehicle with hard earned $ not counterfeit, broken or life threatening. note: i have video of the vehicle in reverse motion while continuing forward, along with several tsbs, work orders, pictures and documents to support my case. this is my only means of transportation and i’m driving over the howard franklin bridge (15,899’) every day in my commute to and from my office. feel free to contact me for the video, pictures or documents needed to support my case. respectfully, a very unsatisfied brandon honda customer information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr

Page 1 of 2 - i purchased my 2015 honda accord coupe ex-l with 2.4l cvt in june of 2015 new with maybe 5 miles on the odometer. i started having issues just months after purchasing the vehicle from brandon honda. the first incident occurred when pulling out of my office complex onto a busy highway when the car decided to just shut off causing the steering column to also seize while the odometer flashed "fcw failure" along with several other instrument panel lights on steady. since that occurrence it seems as if i've had nothing but problems with the vehicle. i have on several occasions taken the vehicle in for repeated transmission/front end issues – such as jerking between rpms, down “shifting” for no reason causing rpms to just drop instead of holding when releasing my foot from the accelerator and while traveling at highway/interstate speeds of 55+ mph, etc. the last 3 times included an additional issue where the gearshift would go from (d) drive and into (r) reverse while continuing to go in a forward motion with back up camera displaying on dash screen and (r) displaying on the odometer where the gear is displayed. the discovery of this safety hazard took place for the first time on an interstate while traveling 65+ mph. the passenger at the time was reaching to grab their beverage from cup holder closest to the gear shifter when it was hit/tapped in the upward motion engaging the transmission into (r) reverse. it took me a minute to grasp what happened because while i'm looking forward into the direction i'm driving, i glance down at the odometer and notice (r) in place of the (d) where the current gear engaged would be indicated. then out of the corner of my eye i notice the camera was on display but not realizing the camera was from the rear and could see the vehicles directly behind me on the interstate. *tr

The trunk on my car automatically opens so i have to pull over and close the trunk. i have noticed that usually this happens when i am leaving my house so i believe there is a defect in the automatic trunk opening feature on this car. i back out of the drive way and after driving for 1/2 a block or 1 block the trunk open light comes on. then i have to pull over and shut the trunk or the trunk lid will open fully and block my visibility out of my rear window. the vehicle is in motion and on a city street when this happens. i am not sure if starting the car causes this problem or putting the car in gear or automatically unlocking the car doors but there is something in that series of actions that causes the trunk to open. this does not happen every time i leave my house but it happens sporadically. i went online to research this problem and there are customer complaints about this issue on honda cars so i am not the only one having the problem. *tr

Sunroof exploded on 2015 honda accord at 9:30 am on 9/19/16 while traveling on highway one mile before exiting. sounded as if a semi tire exploded near by. it was not an impact break. it exploded outward not inward. there were no vehicles close enough to shoot a rock and it would have hit windshield. i now have on my once perfect unblemished car scratches on top and on trunk. vehicle is 1.5 years old, 18,000 miles and honda has informed me they will not cover under the warranty despite that it is obviously a known defect. i have images on phone but having a hard time attaching.

2015 accord sport with 26k miles, have had my tired rotated twice, bought the car new. cupping of the tires make for lots of road noise and vibration. called the tire company---not a tire issue, it is a honda issue---not sure how they will fix it, but new tires rotated based on honda's recommendation will continue cupping and ruin the next set. great company needs to acknowledge and step up to offer a fair solution.

Car had about 9000 miles on it, wouldn't start after driving it for 25 minutes from home. automatic shift seems to be locked. 4th of july weekend, long wait for tow truck to dealer. no service people there. i was given a sheet of paper showing a recall that has not been distributed yet for 2013-2016 accords. the case for the battery sensor mounted at the top of the 12v battery may have been improperly manufactured with gaps that could allow for moisture entry, if moisture containing road salt, or other conductive substance,enters the battery sensor, it could result in an electrical short and subsequently, a fire. refrain from calling tech line for updates. the fact is i am a woman and i buy a new or lease a new car every three or so years so that i won't be left somewhere stranded and in danger. anytime a woman is helpless in a non working car, danger is the first issue. sorry, but we do have to recognize the world is different for men and women. honda service bulletin 17-057 this has been an issue according to the bulletin for 2013-2016

Car intermittenly mskes a clunk/click noise under driver side of vehicle.

I have a honda accord coupe. the bar around the seat on the driver's side has broken for the fourth time in just over two years. it has been fixed three times but the dealer stated we were on our own the fourth time. one time when my husband took the car for the dealer to look at for repair, they fixed the car as another person did not show who had the same problem. it does fine if the seat is not moved but breaks when you put the seat up and down or up and back. the car was not moving.

Both rear tires unevenly cupping on the inside . car has less than 25k miles. the rest of the outside of the tire shows little to no wear on it. car is shaking and making loud thumping sounds as it drives. unsafe issue , factory defect with unadjustable camber/toe settings. not a rotation or alignment issue. lots of other customers with the same issue.

While driving on a rural highway at 65 mph and seeing a posted reduced speed limit sign of 45 mph ahead, i started slowing the car by decreasing pressure the gas pedal(never removing my foot). as i reached 45 mph i increased pressure on the gas pedal and felt the car braking. i removed pressure from the gas pedal and the car continued to coast. i stepped(increased pressure) on the gas pedal again and i felt the car braking again. i removed my foot from the gas pedal and doubled checked my foot position and i was using the gas pedal. i moved my foot to the brake and felt the brakes were working. i was able to coast to an open area beside the highway and stop the car safely. after stopping i notice the engine oil and service lights on and engine was off but power was on. i shut the power off. after a minute i restarted the car and it runs like nothing happened. outside temperature was 95 f.

I was going home on 6/9/17 on a very busy highway 52-n at approx 60 mph. the car quit running, the rear wheels lock ,and i am sliding sideways. the car just died. there was a tanker truck behind me, who had to lock down his brakes to avoid hitting me while i have my daughter who is under 12 years of age in the car with me! i called the dealership and they said have it towed to them! on 6/10/17, i was told that the battery was dead and that they would replace it and have the tech drive car home and see what happens. on 6/12/17, i was told that they reset warning sensor and that a diode was bad. they wanted tech to drive car again and see what happens. on 6/13/17, i was told that a sensor was bad and they wanted tech to drive car again to see what happens. the morning of 6/14/17, i told that the high pressure steering hose needed replacing, and they wanted a tech to drive the car again! they also stated they were calling the tech line in california to get further info. the afternoon of 6/14/17, i was told that the tech line suggested changing the fuel pump and that should fix the problem. they told me that it would take 2 days to get the part and 1.5 - 2 hours to install. i said okay the morning of 6/15/17, they called me and said part was in and installed, but they wanted tech to drive again to see what happens. i said okay. the morning of 6/16/17, i was called and told car was ready for pick up. i picked car up the afternoon of 6/16/17 and drove home. i immediately noticed a terrible smell. it also acted funny between 3rd and 4th gear. i went to remove a bag from trunk and the trunk smells like a dead animal now. sat. afternoon, i am going home and the car does the same exact thing but only worse now since i have both kids in the car with me! something i noticed. the tech only drove it 8.5 miles a day (60 miles total). 6/19 got car towed to dealership again!

Within 5 seconds after we got into the car and closed the doors on the 2 door coupe the back glass exploded. lucky i was not driving on the highway. it sounded like a bomb and glass flew all over the car. i had not even started the engine. it was in my parking space behind my home. no one was near and the weather was about 40 degrees and clear.

Air condition when set on high temperature (78+), after 10 minutes,it starts generating cool air. in winter it’s not working as per expectation. always experienced when vehicle is in motion. *bf

My 2015 honda accord lx key started chipping off in the lock cylinder and stop turning after 45,000 miles on the car. the lock cylinder stop turning with my key in the cylinder. the honda turned off on the interstate and i could not turn the steering wheel with this occurred. the lock cylinder, key re-programmed to match the new lock cylinder cost my $660 and was not covered by my extended warranty. this needs to be issued as a recall immediately. i also confirmed that seven (7) other honda owners at my job with keys experienced the same lock cylinder problem on the average before 30,000 miles on the odometer. they had to get the lock cylinder replaced too.

My tpms (tire pressure monitor system) signals false alarms. most recently, 4-5-17, 60 miles after proper reset of the tpms, the warning light lit up again. all four tires proved correctly inflated to 37.5psi (hot). for false tpms alarms the manual instructs the owner to take the vehicle to the dealer for repair, under warranty. on 4-7-5 morgan hill honda claimed (a) that my complaint is common and (b) that there is absolutely no fix. "honda is very sorry." the inherent danger of a spurious warning light is obvious: consider a strange light at 70mph in the diamond lane at night: if the driver cannot recognize the light, panic may ensue. and if the driver does recognize the light, what then? cross four lanes of traffic to find a safe place to exit in the dark in order to visually inspect black low-profile ("high performance") tires for inflation? what can go wrong for a woman pulling off the highway into a strange neighborhood to inspect her tires? theoretically "mike" at morgan hill honda (408-500-3000) documented my case today, 4-7-17. he provided no paper receipt, as he did nothing other that spin a yarn about temperature variations as a probably cause. (garaged cars experience enormous temp variations every morning, winter and summer.) unless nhtsa is being drained as part of the "swamp", it should investigate this complaint vigorously.

Owner was driving the 2015 honda accord hybrid on the freeway at speed limit (60mph) and suddenly the brake system failure warning light came on and the car was put on a "fail safe mode" or a driving speed of no more than 40mph. luckily the owner was able to pull over to a safe area, called honda for assistance and the car was towed to a honda dealership. a diagnostic check was performed and an update of a vehicle software was made based on honda service bulletin 15-057. i think honda should recall all honda accord hybrid that have these issues immediately and have the vehicle software updated because of possible vehicle failure and injury to car occupants as being on a fail safe driving mode could happen anytime and could put the car occupants in a very dangerous and unsafe situation..

While i was driving my car down a road that was paved no faster than 35mph without any other vehicles in front or behind me or even on the other side of the road my sunroof exploded. it made the loudest scariest noise i've ever heard! when i called honda to receive help i was entirely ignored and blown off. they basically told me it happens and is a common issue, well if that's the case why wasn't i informed of that when i bought my car?

Foul/musty pungent smell coming from the vents with air on or off. brought to a honda dealer...performed ac/heating evaporator cleaning/changed also the element filter. the smell has come back. i did google the problem and found numerous complains similar to mine

Takata recall everytime my car runs thru a ditch the low tire light comes on . i put air rest the calibration and in a few days i would hit another ditch and the same steps over and over again.

The seats are extremely uncomfortable in the 2015 honda crv. the driver side in particular is very firm and hits pressure points in the legs, no matter how the seat is adjusted. driving this vehicle for more than 1/2 an hour caused pain in my sciatic nerve, with the pain radiating down my leg and up into my low back. i could not get comfortable on a 4 hour drive, despite trying every configuration of available seating adjustments. i purchased this vehicle a week and a half ago and have 30 days to return this car to carmax. i plan to do so because it is so uncomfortable to drive.

Condenser fin defective advised that the condenser fin was damaged from a rock the seat belt locks up, the alternator is causing the battery not to charge, the paint is chipping

I recently purchased a honda accord coupe 2015 with less than 20k miles and had 2 occurances where the car wouldn't start. the warning sign said fcw system failed and wouldn't start. did several things, called for help at the dealer and after 20 minutes later, it randomly started. the second time my girlfriend was driving it to the grocery store and when she was getting ready leave, it did the same thing to her. luckily her work was across the street and came back after her brake 2 hours later and randomly started. this car was never listed in a wreck, has a 1 year old new battery which was replace last year even though it's a 2015 and i'm reporting this august 2017. please help with this if you have any information on remedying this situation. thank you!

Headlights on low beam have a sharp top side cutoff that makes seeing the road and signs and objects difficult to see at night. also when going down hill and if the road rises sharply, you cannot see very far ahead, i almost hit someone crossing a street because of this. also, the heater/ac controls are needlessly complicated, as are the radio controls. where one knob could control the on/off and fan speed, this car has three separate small buttons where you must take yours eyes off the road to find. the same applies to changing the temperature; there are two up/down separate buttons, where one simple knob would work. the radio, too has too many needless buttons to push. if texting is dangerous while driving, they have made this car dangerous to change almost any control. there should be the rule that controls be kept as simple as possible. i understand that the lexus even has a separate mouse you must use to change settings! it has gotten out of control.

Due to honda using soy based wiring, rodents chewed through the wiring in our engine area and in the underside of our hood area. required repair of over $3000 at folsom lake honda. honda knows this is a problem... why no recall? they should pay for repairs. they are selling rodent proof tape at dealer or suggest putting dryer sheets in our engine area??!,, i believe class action suit has begun in california. we would like to be involved.

Long story short, i took the 2015 honda accord for a test drive and it seemed fine. the next day after driving quite a bit my lower back started burning. i couldn't adjust the seat to make it comfortable or stop the back pain. it felt like it cut off the circulation in my legs after just driving 30 miles. i couldn't take it back to the dealership but they paid for me to get a seat wedge for more cushion. that just put me higher in the seat and the lumbar at my tailbone. i have to drive a lot for my work and it's killing my lower back and neck. i've tried numerous cushions, pads and back supports but nothing seems to make this seat work. i can't drive it without pain and am at a loss on what to do other than take a massive loss.

I have a 2015 honda accord lx. i started experiencing problems with the stereo approx november 2016. when i would toggle between the radio pre-sets i would loose everything, now sound no stations. it is not till after i shut my car off for a few minutes that it will reset. i have taken video and an actual service advisor at the honda dealership has seen what it is doing. since they could not figure out why it was doing this, they replaced the stereo with, which i thought was a new one, but it was a re-manufactured one i found out after i went to connect my phone back to my car and a bunch of names popped up in the phone area. i was told honda will only authorize a re manufactured one. the stereo that was installed now it doing the same thing. i took it back to the dealership and was told that it was my iphone and i needed to get a new phone. my phone has nothing to do with the actual radio stations. bluetooth, itunes and pandora yes my phone affects those but not the radio. and if it was my phone then how can i make calls when it all was not working?

Took vehicle to dealer on october 18, 2016 per letter from honda to have product update dtc p1890 performed. this was an update to the pcm software for cvt transmission. ever since this time the mileage has dropped significantly. i was getting 33mpg around the city. it has dropped to 27mpg. highway mileage has also dropped from 37mpg to 34mpg. car feels as thought it is in too low of a gear when accelerating - a change from before the software update. took car back to two different honda dealers. they could find nothing wrong nor have they heard about similar problems.

On march 20, 2015, i leased a honda accord for 3 years from the honda of mentor automobile dealership. immediately after taking possession of the car, i noticed the car had a very significant vibration problem. after driving the car for a few days, i took it back to the dealership and complained about the vibration. the service personnel i complained to acted like the car had no vibration problem at all --- intimating i was imagining things. after driving the car a few days more, i noticed that when stopping at a stop light and shifting the transmission from drive to neutral, the vibration lessened considerably. my car came equipped with a "continuously variable transmission (cvt)", so i assume the vibration is most likely related to the transmission (i have never been an auto mechanic). i have had the car for 22 months now and, although the vibration problem has lessened somewhat, it is causing me considerable consternation because i have decided to purchase the car outright when my 3-year-lease expires. i am worried that shortly after i purchase the car outright i will be faced with a horrendous bill to repair/replace the cvt or whatever it is that is causing the vibration. question: is the nhtsa maintaining a log of complaints regarding honda"s "vibration complaints" similar to mine? i am 82 and with my meager pension i certainly do not want to be hit with a horrendous repair bill if the vibration problem is due to the honda's incompetence. *tr

Intermittent starting issues - have replaced battery 3 times. took to honda dealer on 9/8/17 & 12/29/20. honda stated no issues. had alternator and starter tested several times at parts store and they tested fine. issues have increased to leaving me stranded 3 times in 2 weeks. new battery 12/29/20 is not dead and tests fine but car needs jump to start. car does have remote start and will not start with key or fob.

I have a 2015 honda accord with 51k miles. i had to replace the battery at 40k miles. i recently had the same intermitten starting problem that many of you described. sometimes i have to turn the ignition key 20 times for the car to start. i brought the car to the honda dealer. they probably saw 100 of similar cases. however, they acted as if my starting problem is a rare case, and charged me $900 to replace the starter. i am disappointed with both honda and the dealer.

At about 48,000 miles i started having intermittent no start situations which rendered the car unreliable. if you turn the key nothing happens. but usually after several attempts the car would start and then the problem would not repeat for several subsequent starts. then it would reappear. i found a mechanic who located the problem requiring a starter replacement. honda should recall these vehicles.

Some time car won't start while pressing start button, i replaced the battery , still issue is there. i noticed that, when i have this issue break become stiff. i contacted honda service they told this is very common issue across honda 2015. the y quote me 190$ for starter inspection and another 190$ for break inspection, these are just for inspections. since they told my case was the 3rd case in that day and honda 2015 accord model has faulty starter , i wonder whether can you do a research and make a recall ?

Car was in motion on county road when the steering wheel took over the operation of the vehicle and went odd the road into a wooded area. towed to nick nicholas ford who telephoned to tell me that the problem cannot be repaired. i then had to total said vehicle. 30;000 plus miles is too low mileage for this to happen. something is wrong as i did my due diligence before purchase of vehicle. driving straight. photos to follow don’t have at this time.

My wheel is lock and i can’t unlock it. for 3-4 days i’ve had to wiggle the wheel and keys jus to turn my car on. and it doesn’t even let me do that any more

I purchased the vehicle in september of 2018. since then to date, 12/08/2020, i've replaced the tires twice. the two rear tire have repeatedly worn down severely in a short time frame, cupping, wavey pattern. i've had three alignments done in this timeframe as well. no one knows what to do. this does not look good for such a respected car brand. i've owned multiple hondas. i probably won't be making another purchase.

At 52k miles, engine will not crank when key is turned. after several attempts, engine will finally crank and then will start as if nothing were wrong. happens at least once in every 3-4 times starting engine is attempted.

My 2015 honda accord sport started giving me trouble by not starting. it would do it every once in awhile starting the summer of 2019. by the winter, it wasn't starting up up to 3 times a week. eventually by the summer of 2020, the car wouldn't start at all.

The trunk lid will not stay in the open position when parked on an incline. no issues with lid closing have occurred while parked on level ground. but, when parked on a sloping driveway, trunk lid will drop to the closed position without warning hitting anyone accessing items in the trunk. incidents of the trunk lid hitting someone in the head or back have occurred. while it has not happened so far, if trunk lid were to fall the entire distance and hit someone's hands, there is the potential for major injury.

Purchased 2 honda accord ex-l v6's in december of 2014. just 1 week ago one of the batteries suddenly died and eventually showed "check charge system" on the display. honda determined that the battery was really low and replaced it. fast foward just a couple of days and the other one starts to exhibit the same exact problems. taking it to honda again today but assume they will replace the battery as well. seems odd that the battery would die on both vehicles less than 2 years after purchase. cars are driven daily for atleast a 20 minute commute each way plus other trips/errands/etc. very unacceptable and seems to be a common issue dating back to previous models.

Our 2015 honda accord has developed a starting problem the vehicle has a push button start and more so than not it takes repeated pushes of the start button for the car to crank over. this condition started roughly one month ago and is very concerning to me since it is my wife's car and i don't want her to be stranded because the car doesn't start. when you press the brake and the start button all you hear is a loud click coming from the starter but it doesn't crank over. i have researched the problem and found numerous similar problems with 2013 - 2015 honda accords. this is a safety hazard and honda is being very irresponsible for not stepping up to the plate and admitting it is a very serious problem. most if not all of the other complaints i've read say it is a starter issue and even the honda dealerships are saying it is a very common problem!!!

Bad alternator keeps causing corrosion on the battery connectors.

My starter clicks once when i try to turn the car on, but the car won’t turn on. it’s an intermittent thing, but has started happening more and more often. i’ve been stranded now two times because of it.

At only 38,xxx miles this vehicle has intermittent starting issues. internet research and mechanic diagnosis indicates that the starter needs to be replaced. it is a known issue at the local dealership, but yet they could not give me a concrete answer as to if replacing the starter will fix the problem long term. with a quoted replacement cost of $1,000 i am leery to have the starter replaced if it does not actually fix the problem. i have been stranded multiple times in the cold because of this issues. a vehicle with only 38,xxx miles and barely out of warranty should not be having these issue. i am okay with fixing a faulty part, but i am not okay with a reoccurring issues not having an exact solution to the problem. are the starters in these vehicles truly bad or is it something else within the car that is causing the starter to blow? a recall or research outside of honda (because obviously they are ignoring the issues) needs to be rolled out to get to the bottom of, and fix, these starting problems. starters should not fail prior to 50,000 miles. if they are constantly failing at low mileage, there needs to be a recall done with the option of replacing the original starters with non-faulty parts. if the starters are solid parts as-is, research needs to be done to determine why the starters are failing. at $1,000 per repair, honda is making too much money fixing known safety issues with their vehicles.

Car takes several tries before it will start

I was pulling slowly into a parking spot in a parking lot when suddenly car accelerated out of control and brakes did not function..car was going extremely fast..i hit a post and a building..airbag deployed..car was totaled.. airbag saved me. car only had little over 30,500 miles..in excellent condition. my family who drove the car car said that at times when releasing brake the car would lurch fast forward or back when in reverse. when the car came to a stop after hitting building the 1st thing i did was look where my foot was..it was on the brake. i knew it would be considered "driver error" because i am 80 yrs. old. but it was the car. actually this happened before a few months ago but i was able to stop car . same situation..pulling slowly into a parking spot in a mcdonald's parking lot. car suddenly accelerated, jumped curb went down a hill and ended up on new road under construction..that lane had not opened yet. i managed to stop at bottom of hill. consumer has injuries from the airbags. i have a clean driving record..no accidents. i am a retired rn..very clear minded. no serious health problems. *ln*jb

When putting in reverse or drive, engine stutters and electrical system cuts out and entertainment console reboots. sometimes the car stalls all together. replaced the battery and alternator, and problem starts again after a few weeks.

2015 honda accord sport won't start intermittently. i was getting in my car to go to work, when i turned the key and it clicks on the first try, then will start on the second try. today, i had to try three times before it would start. i got the battery and starter tested and they were both good.

While driving our 2015 honda accord north on i-15 near salt lake city, ut, we heard a very loud, explosion like noise on the top of our car. we exited the interstate and found that the sunroof was shattered. it had exploded! the areas of the car surrounding the sunroof were not affected.

When vehicle is operating it will stall and turn off completely. all car will turn off and all the lights on the dash would flicker. it stalled on me when i was driving on the freeway. my car stopped as i was going 65 mph, cars behind be swerved as my car came to a complete stop on the freeway. the vehicle also does not start when trying to turn on. all of the lights on the dash will just flicker. i've changed the battery two times. i've got my car diagnose at auto zone and a fuel pump code came up. took it to honda to tell them my situation paid 130$ for them to tell me nothing is wrong. when they did the diagnose they said nothing came up on their end. few days later i drove it and my car stalled out again. i took it to auto zone and they said nothing was wrong with my car. i am afraid if i drive it, it will stall and i will get into a crash. nobody can diagnose the car because no code pops up anymore, but my car still stall out.

My sirius/xm radio reception is intermittent. i've had it to the dealer twice and they were unable to diagnose the problem. internet searches suggest this is not an uncommon problem with honda vehicles. has this problem been reported to nhtsa and is nhtsa considering a recall?

Vehicle will not start while in park. all lights, dash lights, etc come on in the accessory position, but when you turn the key to ignition, the starter does not engage. if you take the drive selector to neutral it will start. this is an intermittent problem that continues to happen since it first started. so far i have not been stranded or needed to have the car towed.

After exiting a drive-thru car wash, drove through the parking lot and stopped behind a car exiting via a driveway onto main street. while i applied brake the engine began to race up to 5000 rpm. i was unable to keep the car from creeping forward with major force on the brakes. i moved the shift lever to n and pressed the start/stop button, shutting down the engine to avoid collision with the car in front of me. after the car in front of me exited, i re-started the car and everything appeared normal. have not had a recurrence of the problem. have not taken the car to the dealer yet because i'm not sure that i trust them. similar previous complaints: 11331361, 11235107, 11142830, 11121723, 11119028, 11062545, 10948426 & 10860066. seems to be a serious recurring safety issue.

I got my car brand new off the lot.ive had it for 5 years now.every day in summer my camera in the windshield gets overheated.now i have a code3 camera /collision detection failed notice flashing and my fcw and ldw lights on .i feel it has a default in the windshield camera from being over heated all these years

The car sometimes would not start, i only hear a clicking sound. i know it is not the battery because when the car starts, the cranking noise is very good. this issue happened and continues to occur in the past. i bought an extended warranty on this car, promising a stress free maintenance. i have taken the car to a honda dealership but i get a push back saying "if the issue not present during, they cannot troubleshoot anything". this is tough for consumer like me that was convinced to purchase extended warranty where i feel it's useless and waste of money to what caused me but stressed and worry. i am reaching out to the government agency such as yourself to perhaps assist/advice on what a consumer should do with this issue

Attempt to start car first thing in the am. car is in the garage. does not start, and the fcw, ldw, tire pressure, power steering, engine check, lights come on. reading the codes shows p2101 set. this has happened 3 times. first time, aaa checked and charged battery and a erased p2101 code. second time aaa checked battery said it was bad, replaced battery, i reset p2101 code. this last time, a few weeks after new battery installed, tried multiple times to start. on third try car started, ran ok, the fcw, ldw, and other above mentioned code were on. read the code and it was p2101. tried resetting codes, was unable to reset code. drove the car for awhile, ran fine. this is an intermittent problem and could be a safety issue. doing an internet search, i see this has been a problem with honda accord since 2013. looks like dealers are unable to determine cause. i will be taking my car to the dealer since this time i am unable to reset codes

Push to start not working properly. crank with no turnover or just clicks. the car usually starts after multiple attempts. a new starter is needed.

I've recently noticed small oil spots on my garage floor. my car does not accelerate smoothly and has also started to stall when i'm initially starting it. the stalling seems to be worse when the car has cooled off but once it finally starts, it is running rough until i hit a stable speed. it also seems to run rougher when making turns (which is typically when i'm attempting to accelerate). it has been happening for the past 3-6 months, although inconsistent. i've also had a new battery every year since i've owned this vehicle despite recalls on battery parts/sensors.

I was about to park my 2015 honda accord lx in a parking spot in parking lot in front of a shopping centre. the car was cruising at 2-3 miles per hour at this time. there was a sudden and rapid acceleration which was highly disproportionate to the slow speed while i was entering the parking spot. i applied the brakes but it didn't help stop or slow down the vehicle. the car moved forward with the same rapid acceleration in the empty parking spot in front and started moving towards the next parking row in front. i swung the car to the right on to the road between the two parking rows in order to avoid collision with the cars in the next row. the car was still moving with rapid acceleration. i tried applying brakes hard but the car wouldn't slow down or stop. i brushed the bumper of another car in the process. i finally hit another car parked near a curb at the end of the parking lot. the impact was so high that the other car swung 90 degrees. my car stopped after getting stuck on the curb and wedged against the other car. the airbags exploded due to the huge impact. i survived the accident with bruises and bumps on my hands, knees, and feet. fortunately, no other person in the parking lot was injured in the accident. accident date and time: june 25, 2020 5:15 pm eastern. location: parking lot of north town plaza, 2856 dekalb pike, norristown, pa police report # east norriton, pa township, report number # 2020-0638219401 the car has been towed to the following location by police with my consent: centersquaremotors 911 dekalb pike blue bell, pa 19422 (610) 277 2929 insurer: state farm

My car won't start on the first time i turn the key. i have to turn the key maybe 3-4 times to get the car started. i'm not sure what it could be. i've done research and i'm not the only one that has the problem. it may be a manufacturer problem.

Started car, drove on highway 20 miles. parked car to run an errand. tried to start car 5 mins later; lights lit up on dash but car would not start. tried several times, finally was successful starting car and continued drive to work. drove to madison honda, rt 24, madison, nj. advised them of issue while car was running. they examined car and came back 45 mins later saying all systems (battery, starter and alternator) were in good working order. no issues found. they could not repeat my problem so disregarded it. drove last 10 mins to my office. several hours later, tried to start car, would not crank. tried several more times, still nothing. i felt stranded at this location with no means of getting home. waited a few minutes and tried again and it started with no problem. every morning since this began it's the same thing. the car is unreliable. yesterday had to try a handful of times before it started. today i tried to start the car for 25 minutes before i was successful. drove to my meeting and later began having problems starting the car again. problem is quickly and progressively getting worse.this car has less than 80,000 miles on it. i have owned this vehicle since early 2015. the dealership has taken care of regular maintenance. this vehicle is unsafe. i never know if and when it will start again! i'm worried about when it will stop starting at all! and where i'll be when it completely fails! this is a huge safety issue! what about tsb 16-002? a design issue that is going unnoticed and unaddressed? why is honda not responding to these complaints? because of honda's lack of consideration and the car's unreliability, i won't be buying another honda!!! please help!

Hello the car was working fine yesterday and today will not start. this has happenend before . it makes clicking but refuses to start. i had it checked at ntb could nor find any issues with battery. i am now looking into buying a $400 part + labor to replace a starter on a less than 70000 car. i will never buy a honda again. this brand has an issue and refuses to acknowledge it.

The car went on fire; the front passenger side was completely burnt. i was at a red light, it started smoking up under the hood, i pulled over, and as i opened the hood it was flaming. now i have been attempting to repair it as i am still paying the car note. i dont understand how it even happened.

I have had several issues with the car not starting and with replacing batteries. in five years, i have had 4 batteries. sometimes the car starts right away, some times it takes several try’s, take a break and try again. frustrating is really an understatement. i have been stranded at work, in parking lots and in my garage. i keep my car serviced. i just took it in july 3 for oil change. the time before, after the checked my tires in the drive in bay, they asked me if i always have a difficult time starting my car, i told them yes, and asked them to check. of course they found nothing. maybe now that the car is no longer under warranty, maybe they will figure out what happening. the fear of getting stranded at night at my place of employment across the bridge or in the dead of winter is unsafe and unsettling. i noted that there are several similar issues in this forum, i would think honda would find a fix for the truly obvious problem. this was my third honda, more than likely , my last. just today, i got into the car and it started right away. i went to the grocery store, got in the car about thirty minutes later and it started right away. i left there and went to get gas. i got back in the car, tried to start the engine and i got nothing. i literally sat at the service station for 15 minutes, trying to start my car. just as i was ready to call for a tow, it started. this is ridiculous.

I have a 2015 honda accord sport. i've had to replace my battery twice now. until about 3 - 4 weeks ago, my car was working fine until my ignition wouldn't start when i turned the key. but everything electrical in the vehicle works fine. i have to turn the key dozens of times before the vehicle finally starts. now it got so worst that it takes 10 to 15 minutes to start the vehicle then it suddenly starts like nothing has happened. did a search on various honda forums and apparently is a common problem for this vehicle model.

I weigh approximately 130 pounds. and this is the second time this has happened to my car. the motor for the drivers seat started making weird rattling noises. the first time it happened was when i had about 1 year with my car. and since it was covered under warranty i took it in to the honda dealer in redlands, ca. they “fixed” it. and now 4 years later after that it’s messed up again. either the motors that control the seats are messed up. or i’m definitely to heavy for my car seat to handle my whole 130 pounds. my husband occasionally drives my car. and he knows how irritated i get when my seats been moved so he doesn’t do anything but move the seat back. *tr

My car sometimes starts, sometimes doesn't start. sometimes it starts right away on the first try. sometimes it takes multiple tries after a few seconds to a few minutes. the times when it doesn't start, i turn the key in the ignition and hear one single tiny click. the dash board lights come on, radio plays, air cond. works, wipers work headlights work. eventually, after a few retries, the engine will start. sometimes it starts after waiting a few minutes. when i do get the car started, it runs perfectly smooth. no stalling or sputtering, no weird noises, no problems with acceleration. it's only on starting when there is a problem this has been going on for about 6/7 months.

Tires have a bump at slow speeds not noticeable at higher sppeds it is not about balancing there is no vibration. sounds like a broken belt

Brought the car used from dealer and after 6 months i tried to start the car and only head a click noise. the car was parked, clutch pressed to the floor and gear shift in neutral. this only happens spontaneously, i took the car back to the dealer and they kept the car for a few days and said the they couldn't reproduce the problem. long story short this continued to happen for about 2 weeks, finally the owner of the lot was there when i came to pick up the car and it wouldn't start, he tried to start the car more than 10 times, and finally diagnose the started being the problem. had the starter replaced under my extended warranty. maybe 2 weeks after the replacement, the issue began to happen again. for only having this car for a year and to not feel comfortable driving it, i feel discouraged. it is a big inconvenience wondering if your car is going to start or not when you turn it off.

Backup camera on the vehicle stopped working when put in reverse. had to pay to have it fixed on 3/3/2020 equal to what a car payment would of been a month after finishing paying off veh.

Starter began grinding and skipping at 55,000 miles. i drive 70 miles round trip each day, so the mileage doesn’t represent the actual limited amount of starts i have had with this car. tsb from honda declares “improper clearance in starter with pinion gear may cause starting malfunction.” must rotate torque converter bolts one round clockwise and replace starter to fix. but, this won’t fix the issue. the improper clearance is a design flaw. new starter will do the same thing. if the starter malfunctions again, then a new torque converter is required. this is absolutely ridiculous and unfounded in car maintenance. a bad starter design costs owners +3,400$ to remedy the second time. which still won’t fix it. the third starter still won’t have the proper clearance.

My vehicle's starter periodically grinds and will not engage the ring gear to start the engine. honda has acknowledged that improper installation at the factory caused the clearance between the starter motor gear and torque converter ring gear to be improper. see tsb 16-002. the starter will engage after repeated (sometimes 5+) attempts. if the vehicle were to experience a stall while driving, the inability to restart the engine could lead to a crash. in addition, a starter that randomly and unexpectedly fails to engage could cause a driver to be stranded in potentially dangerous weather conditions. honda has declined to extend warranty coverage to this part that has failed due to an admitted error on their part.

Car does not start even thought battery is fine. honda is unwilling to help without a diagnostic fee on an issue many 2013-2015 accord models have. car was parked after running completely fine, when i was trying to start it again it refused to turn on completely. tire light flashes and avs/engine/battery light are on.

My car has 58,000 miles. and now the car start up first time and after starting and stopping it the vehicle will intermittently not start. when i push the push start button the lights come on and the radio and the heat comes on but it just clicks. i took it to the local honda dealer and they recommend the i replace the starter and rotating the torque converter one bold hole counterclockwise.

There is a warranty ext. on the paint and honda corp. will not cover rental which will take 7 days to repair. it is no fault of my own that the paint is peeling, and i can go with out a car.

2015 honda accord v6 bought as new now with 72k miles has starter problem. car will have a winding/grinding noise when attempting to start (from off and stationary position) but will not start. when inspecting problem, it was found that the flywheel has been damaged likely due to misalignment of torque converter ring gear or bad starter motor. called to honda dealership and they said the components are not covered by warranties. service campaign online was found with reference tsb no. 16-002 issued february 5, 2016. buyer was not aware of such problems since date of purchase as honda never issued a recall or mailed out notification to the buyer. many have reported the issue online. buyer was never made aware of service bulletin via paper or electonic mail, no recall was made, car is now apparently no longer covered under warranty, and requiring multiple parts repairs.

Intermittent issues with starting. i hear and see a flicker on the dashboard and lights, however it doesn't start.i plug a jumper pack in and it immediately starts, as if nothing happened. this will have 5-6 times a week after running fine throughout the day. just happens surprisingly. the starter has been replaced in which the honda dealership says was the issue. there is clearly some other issue happening, maybe the electrical system but they refused to check to even help diagnose again.

When car parks and key inside (in stationary) and when you leave the car may be around 1 minute, the door will lock itself. this would likely creates safety hazards to other vehicles if the vehicle happen to park in the middle of roadway.

Vehicle needs new battery every 2 years. has left me stranded twice. the car has less than 90,000 miles and is only 4 years old. honda has replaced under recall some type of battery sensor but this has not helped. there are two tsb’s that i know of: tsb 16-002 and tsb 17-057. car gurus website has a blog with a large number of accord owners all in the same boat. people are replacing starters, alternators, ignition switches, batteries, etc. to no avail. honda has turned its back on its customers. i can not afford this. please help.

Whenever attempting to start the vehicle after it had recently been turned off (ex: when getting gas or running into store quickly) the dash and interior lights up and chimes but makes no attempt at start (no fuel pump power or attempt to crank over motor) and this occurs frequently amidst my vehicle and others of the same year/ make without ever receiving a check engine light or warning. he noted as well that the vehicle has had the battery, starter, and alternator tested without any conclusive results as to the issue. honda dealership as well failed to give me or other owners a conclusive fix for the issue and remains ongoing.

In the last year my car has not turned on 3 times. when i push the start button it just clicks and all the warning lights come on. only after many attempts and waiting more than half hour it finally turns on with all warning lights. in july, we changed the battery. thinking this might be the problem. it was not. again today the car would not start and all the warning lights are on. i took it to the dealer who is charging me $150!to do a diagnostic check. i purchased the car in 2015 brand new. it currently has 35k miles. a car with few miles and only 4 yrs old should not be giving any problems. even less having to pay for a diagnostic or manufacturing related problems.

The cars radio randomly reboots and freezes while in use and driving. calls will drop, display will blank, and reset itself. there are times when we have to park the car, power it off and restart to clear the issue. honda tells us there is nothing wrong and it is a normal occurrence.

We had to replace the cars alternator at 37k miles, the battery at 16 months, and have replaced headlights 6 times since owning the car.

Seats are extremely uncomfortable and cause severe neck, back, and hip pain. the head rest forces your head forward and places strain on your neck and back. adjusting lumbar does not help but rather causes pain in the legs and buttocks. seat surfaces are flat and lack contour therefore the driver and passengers continually shift. honda refuses to address the issue and has done nothing to help alleviate the issue. we have owned 5 honda automobiles and will no longer purchase honda vehicles as the quality and customer service has gone down hill.

I have been stranded multiple times due to my 2015 honda accord coupe not starting. one time i was parked out of town. another time i was in town, after stopping my vehicle at a residence where i was visiting. i have replaced the alternator and battery. the other day it took 50 attempts before my car finally started. this is an intermittent issue. i should not have to wonder if my 4 year old car will start when i need to go somewhere. the starter is $640.00 plus tax and after putting approx $700.00 in already to only continue to have the same issue, i am not willing to put more money in to possibly solve the issue. this has been a growing concern for numerous people on a car discussion board. some have replaced the starter and still have the issue. i have the receipts for the battery and alternator if needed.

My battery is experiencing an electrical shortage every time i start my car, when i tap the battery channels the car starts again and i have to reprogram due to shut down. it has continue to happen as of july 15,2019.

At ~92,500 miles, this car has suddenly begun in the past week to shut off while accelerating/driving (in motion) on surface streets and freeways. the multifunction screen and/or sound system and/or dash/engine/acceleration will shut off without warning while i am operating the vehicle in traffic anywhere from 15-65 mph. when it has happened, the system has quickly rebooted and allowed me to resume driving. it feels very unsafe and unpredictable.

Takata recall: when starting the car, the engine light is on stating: "emission system problem & engine cooling system problem." this somehow trigger a safe fail mode that prohibits the car going faster than approximately 40 miles an hour. when the car was brought to the honda dealership for diagnosis, it showed dtc p2602 stored for electric water pump low voltage. they were able to perform the electric water pump performance and it cleared the code. but within 24 hours, the dtc returns and the engine light is on again and the car wouldn't be able go faster than 40 miles per hour..

The car sometimes has trouble starting. i have purchased a new battery as the original went bad (the original battery was less than 3 years old and had around 35,000 miles). the problem seemed to have resolved and now a few months later the car is acting up again. it only happens intermittently and i cannot reproduce the symptoms. this is basically a brand new car but it seems as the alternator or starter is bad and needs to be recalled.

The starter motor solenoid fails to engage causing the engine to not start. this started at around 38,000 miles and has gotten progressively worse. the only solution is to replace the entire starter motor.

The ignition switch is a problem, it works on and off. i checked the battery cables and they are clean and firmly secured. i replaced the fob battery to no avail. i have only 35,000 miles on it. i understand this is a problem with honda. this is constant problem when i attempt to start the car.

My 2015honda accord purchased new off the lot and well maintained has issues with start up system. dealer reports it is a starter failure. when foot is firmly placed on the brake and start push button is pushed the car will make one click sound and not start, it can take up to 10 attempts to start car. the display does show up. i had the battery sensor recall fixed and this did not make a difference. dealer wants over $750 to repair starter.i believe there is another issue happening causing the starter to die. honda needs to recall these starters and get down to the root cause, because thousand of others are experiencing the same starting issues with these cars. it is very sad that hondas reputation is being stained due to their negligence in correcting this issue.

I have the white orchard paint and it is peeling from around the edges of my rear roof and side panels. i wash it about once every two weeks with quality reputable products and dry it after. even taking excellent care of it after 5 years-the paint should not be peeling!

Headlights are dangerous. when raining at night i can’t even see what lane i’m in. is especially bad when cars are on other side of road. when i first got the car, i stopped to see if the headlights were even on. they are useless when road is wet and raining. often i can’t even see what lane i’m in. this has been the problem since i got the car in 2018. and i cant see on the left when making a left turn. these lights are dangerous and need to be recalled. i had no problem with my previous 2015 accord.

Almost daily the car will not start on the first try. it can take up to 10 attempts to get it started. all of the lights on dash turn on and i hear a click but it doesn’t start. sometimes if i step out of the car and reintroduce the key it works but not always. we changed the key fob battery, had the recall fixed and the dealer said car had a good inspection. battery and starter are good.

Defective starter meant i was often stranded, unable to start the car. had to replace starter on car after less than four years of use.

I drove my car for 10 minutes and then stop at the gas station to put some gas then after i tried to turn it on again but my car will not start and then after waiting for more than 30 minutes he did finally start but all the lights were still on then i drove it for another five minutes and stop the car to park and then wait for five minutes and then the car start again but the lights were off this time i’m not sure if this is safe but it’s been doing this for more than three times already i don’t know what to do.

Intermittent problem starting the car. at times the car would start normally after the first turn of the key. at other times it may take more than one turn of the key or as many as 7 to 10 turns of the key for the car to start. the transmission was in park at all times. before the car started, all electrical equipment such as radio, windshield, a/c, dashboard lights were working as normal. this condition has been going on for several weeks. there was no work done on the car; all electrical and engine parts the same as when the car was first purchased.

I have a 2015 honda accord sport, pearl white color with 48,900 miles. i was washing my car (9/01/19) and i noticed that the paint is chipping on the sides of the rear window channel.

Passenger side rear brake capiler seized on a 2015 honda accord with only 41,400 miles on the car. thankfully it didn’t cause an accident. before the failure, brake pads were good and measured 7 on fronts and 6 on the rears. the car had all original equipment and the 3 year manufacturers warranty had ended about 9 months prior to the failure. the failure of the capiler destroyed the brake pad making the brake metal on metal which ruined the rotor. the failure required the car to need replacement of rear capilers, brake pads, and rotors on both rear tires. the safety department should look into defects of the honda accord rear braking system because these defects/failures could cause serious accidents and injuries.

Sticking piston rings resulting in high engine oil consumption: vehicle maintained by dealer including oil changes. vehicle has no oil in reservoir between oil changes. vehicle burns oil. piston rings stick and it causes oil to burn excessively. there are multiple campaigns that honda knows about. they knew about tsb 17-089 and still gave my vehicle a certified pre-owned status without fixing the engine problem first. it is dangerous to drive a vehicle with no oil in it!

Try to start vehicle and one faint click happens, no start. problem persists. if i wait a minute or so and try again, sometimes it will work. other times, i’ve needed someone to jump my car. the honda dealership says everything is fine. replaced the battery 7 months ago. this has occurred about 5 times over the last 2.5 months. both in the morning and later in the day. both cooler weather and warmer. car is usually stationary for 8-12 hrs before attempting to start the vehicle.

While driving all my lights came on it is due to the abs going out but my warranty is up. several people have gone into ny mechanic and this must be fixed because if there is a true problem, i wouldn't know it due to the fact all lights are on. the part alone is 1500 dollars. why not fix this issue so consumers are out of pocket for something that is faulty. the burleson dealership stated it was a computer in my car that needs to be replaced. charging me a 100 dollars just to give me the wrong info. and saying the work would be over 2500 dollars. i was on the hwy when all lights came on.

2015 accord has had starter problems. it had a third starter installed and will be going back for the fourth. it has had starter issues for over three years. will continue to replace until honda steps up to plate and fixes its issues.when pressing the start button a continuous grinding noise starts but the car does not. it may take up to 20 times to finally start the car. sometimes it won't start at all. do not have exact dates or milage of each occurence, has happened numerous times.

Got off work one night got in my car to go home turn the key and it don't start. so then i try to remove the key it also would not let me remove it from the ignition. so then i pulled the hood release. when i opened the hood i see a squirrel under the hood. had the car towed to honda dealership they told me a rodent chewed up some wiring so it made the car think it was in gear that's why it wouldn't start. i did a little research come to find out the wiring in the honda are soy-coated wiring and rodents love chewing on that.

I was driving my 2015 honda accord on my normal drive home from work on july 1, 2019 when all of a sudden i heard a weird pow sound. not knowing what it was i slowed down because i thought either i ran over something or some other vehicle had an issue. needless to say, i realized that my entire sunroof had exploded / shatter under unknown circumstances. i was an the interstate driving 65 mph in light traffic and the weather was partly clear.

I have started to experience, now on three separate occasions, grinding of the starter as described in honda tsb 16-002. apparently this issue has been well documented by other consumers. i feel this is a manufacturing defect that honda continues to deny. i wish to add my complaint to the others in hopes of eventually having a recall issued.

Intermittent problems with starting. push ignition button a few times before it will start although there is power. then finally completely failed to start. battery is good, starter good... extra voltage by jump starting seems to temporarily fix it. no honda acknowledgement on the issue although it's widely documented by owners.

We have had intermittent problems where the car will not start. it just makes a clicking sound. we can jump start it and drive it around and sometimes the problem goes away for months at a time. then randomly it will not start again. i have had the battery and charging system checked multiple times by autozone, advance auto, o'reilly, and walmart service center. the battery and charging system always reports as fine. i recently had the oil changed at walmart and the service technician could not get it to start. he jumped it and drove around to the other side of the bay to check the battery and it happened again. he removed the cables and cleaned the terminals and sprayed on battery post protectant and then jumped it again. i drove home and had not had any problems for over a month and now it has happened again. this all started after having the factory recall battery management sensor replaced in late 2017. this is at least the eight time over the past 1+ years. i was told by at least one autozone employee that they have seen many honda vehicles with a similar problem because the battery sensor or main fuse block will intermittently block any voltage coming from the battery into the starting system. it is random and will sometimes even prevent a jump start unless you tap on the top of the sensor. and then it starts fine. my local honda dealership claims there is no such problem and refused to call me back to have the vehicle checked while still under warranty. i am now out of warranty due to the date of purchase and not mileage and all they will say is that it sounds like my starter is bad and needs to be replaced which will cost over $700 now that i am out of warranty.

My 2015 honda accord after 33,000 miles is giving me a lot of problem battery wise. i had to have it boosted several times, i took it to a honda dealer who did a thorough check and who claim there was nothing wrong with the battery. even being very careful about not leaving anything electric when the power is not on, i still experience tremendous problems with starting the car; i hope i wont have to change the battery at 34,000 miles and barely 40 months old car. also while in motion i experienced the car wanting to stall, with the power of the car shutting down for a second or 2. there was a recall having to do with the battery.

My 2015 accord has approx 62,000 miles, i have owned the vehicle since new and it has been 100% maintained precisely to all maintenance schedules by scott honda of west chester pa since new. following a dissatisfactory service visit to scott honda, i opened hood to perform minor fluids check, and observed alarming corrosion of battery terminals. i have never seen this level of accumulation of corrosion on battery terminals for any vehicle in my life. this is not normal. i disconnected, carefully inspected and cleaned both positive and negative terminals and hardware. the positive cable fitting is disintegrated and nearly the thickness remaining equivalent to a piece of "aluminum foil". removing the finishing tape of positive harness reveals heavy green/blue corrosion beyond battery fitting and cable swage. also observed heavily corroded negative battery connection behind driver-side wheel. negative terminals and connections are also corroded at battery and battery sensor. battery sensor was serviced immediately upon recall notice by scott honda. battery is oem original and exhibits no signs of battery problems or starting...beyond corrosion. scott honda never alerted of the battery corrosion matter, nor asserted any service need or preventative maintenance to correct condition. thus, there very many "safety checklists" and state inspections are largely systematic "window dressing". scott honda has ignored my written requests and photos for explanation, root cause, or follow up. i will seek compensation from american honda to replace all battery cable harnesses and inspection of electrical system at honda expense. photos are attached. i urge accord owners to visually perform their own under-hood inspections....regardless the amount inspections they perceive to be performed by dealer.

Car battery issues. won’t hold a charge. will not start at random weekly. just clicks even after driving for 30 mins and returning to car. took it to dealer, battery good, alternator good, starter good. 2days later happens again. especially after putting in fuel. turn car on, battery dead. ridiculous. take it back to dealer. all diagnostics good. go to work, come out to leave battery dead. get a jump from co worker, drive home. next morning dead. take it to autozone for charge, battery low on charge. get battery charged 4 hours, drive to ny & back home. go out to 7eleven battery dead, click click. autozone or dealer refuse to sell battery because battery reads good. what’s the issue. honda without even checking car says it’s a major issue with “these” cars and $700 for new battery and alternator!!! for what? ford dealer (where purchased) gave the “all good” as did autozone testing.

On thursday, january 17th, 2019 the sunroof exploded on my 2015 accord. i was driving on a 45 mph highway leaving a traffic light. there was nothing overhead and no prior damage. the residual glass was pointing upwards as if to have exploded from the inside out. the sound was also indicative of an explosion. as a result, i swerved and ended up with glass raining on my head. please help with something being done about this. honda was not helpful at all and was very rude and callous about the situation and i’m now left with a gaping hole that i cannot afford to repair.

Unable to start the vehicle. battery tested fine. honda dealership told me to replace the starter and the car still won't start two days after being replaced. the recall for the battery sensor was also done on the car and the car has been very well taken care of.

The starter button only produces a clicking sound when depressed. the engine will not turn over and does not start. the condition is a safety matter as it makes the car unusable and not available for emergencies.

Had my 2015 honda accord ex-l in for service today, and asked them to check the brakes because the pedal was soft again. in the last year to try and correct the soft pedal i have replaced the pads and rotors, and a few months had the brakes bled. dealership tells me they have seen issues with the master cylinder, lucky i had the extended warranty so it will only cost me the deductible but there is something wrong have master cylinder problems at 36000 miles.

The car fails to start after several turns of the key up to 12 times before starting. once it does start, it starts like there isn’t a problem at all. car rarely starts on the first turn of the key. this has happened since about 47,000 miles. car currently has 51,000

I see there was a recall because of loss of engine power that may result in a vehicle stall increasing the risk of a crash.if the engine leaks oil in the proximity of a hot engine or exhaust components ,there is a risk of fie. well this stall or no power happens to me frequently since ive own the car. told them about it when i went in for oil changes but was never written down or looked at so i just chalked it up as dealership didn't want to deal with it so i'd let it go. so when i was looking up honda roto troubles .i saw this recall an wondering why i didn't get a recall since i think my car falls into this. should be checked out at no cost to me for sure that i've been dealing with this danger for 4 years and is scary that i'm trying to go in the middle of a turn and no power then it picks up. think about it when an if your in the middle of an intersection and your trying to go and a car bareing down on you and you can go because of no power? only way like i said i found this was because i was looking why my rear rotors were warped and had to replace them. love to hear your input. thank you for attention but won't be surprised if i don't hear from you people see dealership didn't care!

I am having intermittent issues with my car starting. it does one click and won't start. there is no turning over. it looks like my radio isn't resetting when it happens. i took it to the honda dealership and they said my battery is 100%, my starter is fine, and my alternator is fine as well. an hour after leaving the dealership it didn't start again. connections aren't corroded. i have to attach a battery jump start pack to start my car every time to fails. i have read forums that have claimed there was an issue with faulty starters for 2013-2015 honda accords, but they do not have a legal recall. my car is just under 50k miles at 49,600, and likely is just out of the warranty mileage.

Honda accord windows opening when car is locked. this is a well documented issue e.g. see https://www.cargurus.com/cars/discussion-c23084_ds575177 it has happened to me twice while the car is parked outside in my driveway during rainy weather. honda does document in the owner's manual that remote opening of windows is possible in certain models with a double press and hold of the door open button on the key fob. so i cannot say for certain that it was not an inadvertent press sequence on my key fob since i did have it in my pocket with other keys in my house. however note that this possible inadvertent press has happened twice - and obviously can happen again. i would also speculate that some random stray signal may trigger this, totally out of my control. key fobs that can actuate windows and doors inadvertently are unsafe and a process needs to be made to deactivate them until a desired action is specifically made by the driver.

Car started to lag when pressing button to start this morning. went to turn it on to leave in the afternoon and just died. no lights came to us know. just died. this happen to us about 4 months ago and we replace the battery.

Vehicle (4 cycl, 2015 w/ 20k miles) failed to start on the first try, would take 6 or more attempts of the push button start to get the vehicle to successfully start. no alarms, lights, notification, etc.. that the vehicle saw an issue (i.e. key fob not present). honda dealership diagnosed the problem as a "faulty starter motor". replacement isn't covered by the remaining warranty (bumper to bumper is expired, but power train hasn't). dealer replacement quote is $693.80.

My sunroof exploded twice while i was driving on the highway, january 31, 2018 and again on february 26, 2018. after escalating my concerns to honda corporate in california, lucas honda made the repairs, although the second repair was improperly done. i had the car towed to lucas honda march 13, 2018 for the second repair because it was unsafe to drive with all the loose and broken glass everywhere, plus i had just returned to fl from tx after having major surgery which limited my mobility. i called and emailed tracy to let him know that there was a small gap in the rubber lining that was affixed to the glass as well as there was still loose glass that i could hear when turning the car or opening the sunroof. in fact, the sunroof jammed and it took about 10 minutes to get it closed again, from that point i didn't open it again. he left a voicemail on 03/16/18 saying that once it heats up the rubber should mold in place securing the glass. i received a letter from darian curtis at honda corporate that a district parts and service manager would be overseeing the 3rd repair. i picked up my car shortly thereafter and have heard nothing else,no explanation,no resolution, nothing at all. i have since traded in the vehicle for something else since it is unsafe to drive and i am fearful of driving it. these unexplained instances could cause harm to me and other drivers on the road.

Acceleration hesitation. i have bow owned this car one year and today (may 23, 2018) was the 7th time that hesitating while leaving a stop sign or signal light, has happened. twice its cause a vehicle to slam on their brakes behind me.

The car would give a hard time starting once a week, this started 3 weeks ago, then last week it just stopped turning on, after trying couple of times , i turned it on, drove to the honda dealership were they told me that i needed a new battery and a new starter. they would not cover it since the car passed the 36,000miles, it had 42,000miles. i noticed another car similar to mine had the same problem at the dealership, so i went online to research this issue and found out that honda knew about this problem happening quiet often and did not issue a recall as well as them having a class action law suit regarding this matter. i have done all the work at a honda dealership and have documents and receipts it costed me about 840$$ which is a lot of money for a relatively new car.

Low tire pressure sensor light comes on intermittently, however when checked tire pressures are fine - this occured over the first year of owning the car, finally the dealership said they resolved the issue and had inflated all tires to 32 psi and reset senors. however checking the tire pressure today, (at the dealership) all 4 tires were at 21 psi and no sensor light for low pressure was on. during the first three episodes of low tire light - a formal complaint was filed with honda, they assured us that the problem was resolved, however appears to still be an issue, driving on 4 underinflated tires is also a serious risk (we only had them checked because of the change in seasons for winter to spring). was told by honda the sensor issue is "usually a driver issue, not a sensor issue".

Driving on hwy steering began to pull. i attempted to correct when i noted steering was more difficult. i was able to pull off the hwy but found when i stopped i was unable to turn the steering wheel at all. i then called my husband and informed him of my situaton. the dealership says it’s the rack and pinion power steering. i only have 19,000 miles on this vehicle

June 2018 i took my 2015 honda accord for a battery sensor recall. the honda dealer replaced the battery sensor. now i’m having issue of car not start. at first i thought it was the battery. the honda dealer tested the battery and the battery is good. after several weeks the car won’t start again. after reading a service bulletin about the battery sensor. i tested the battery sensor and it the test. the battery sensor that the honda dealer replaced was faulty after 9 months of use.

The vehicle was unable to start. jumped the car with another car via battery cable then it started. droved the car home about 4 mile drive. checked battery voltage while the car is running and it reads 12.4 volts which is a low reading. turned off the car and tried to restart and the car won’t start. charged the battery with a battery charger and restarted the car again this time the car started. checked the battery voltage again while it running and this time battery voltage reads 14.5 volts. some weird is happening with the charging system with this car. this happen 3 times already. it’s intermittent problem that it won’t start. it’s not the battery and it’s not the alternator.

Starter grinding noise! asked honda dealer about the grinding noise? they could not get the starter to make the noise(38,139 miles((5/2017)). speed ahead 1 1/2 years. i put 2 starters and a new battery(2/19). still having grinding issues(51,326 miles). called american honda corp. to see about any recalls.they wanted a honda dealer to diagnose complaint. just got back from dealer(2-16-2019). the honda dealer told me about a service bulletin: starter grinding or spins at startup. (2013-2016 accord v6 a/t only & 2013-2015 crosstour v6 a/t only). corrective action: replace starter (pt# 31200-5g0-a04) and rotate the torque converter clockwise 1 bolt hole). the honda dealer said it would cost roughly $600 plus dollars to remedy the problem. if this is such an issue on these specific vehicles, then why is there not a recall!!!

Towards the end of 2017, i had my honda accord service as a result of the battery defect recall. after such repair, my vehicle stalled on a busy highway back in february 2018. i bought the car new and it had approximately 45,000 miles the honda dealer stated it was the alternator and charged me to repair it . however, on 4/1/18 the car stalled once again and i the engine would not start. i have researched this issue and it appears the too many 2015 honda accords are having the same problem following the battery defect recall. this is a safety risk, since the vehicle loses all power leaving one vulnerable to bing hit by other vehicles when the car stalls. my car panel/ system does not give any warning prior to shutting down all power while the car is on motion. once the car stalls, one can not turn the engine back on. i truly believe that this has to be investigated before some one is killed as a result that f this defect on the honda accord.

The hand break has come loose it uses to come up only one click but now it goes up 6-7 clicks. changed rest break pads but no resolution. also when i activate the hamsbreak the right side goes not seem to engage

When the car starts driving first thing in the morning on cold days there there a brief buzzing sound coming from the front right side of the car. this is more pronounced and regular when traction control comes on. it didn't happen for the first 2 and half years bit now is is quite common.

I received the notice of the recall for the battery sensor and took the car in august but the dealer said that they didn't have the part. next maintenance in november i reminded them of the recall on the battery and they gave me the temporary fixing. shortly after this the battery started to fail. i would have my car parked and it wouldn't turn on. this has been more constant now. went back to the dealer march 7, 2018 and i mentioned about the battery and they told me the battery was fine that nothing was wrong with it.on the third day after my battery died 2 times after having it off for less then 10 minutes. and had to jump start it. i have seen that many have said the solution is to buy a new battery but the car is just 2 years since i bought it new and my mileage is not even 40,000 miles yet. honda should be the one to fix this.

Faulty brake calipers: my 2015 accord 4dr with 42k miles was recently at the honda dealer here in greenwich, ct. the service department reported that the rear brakes were "almost metal on metal" and needed to be replaced. i reminded the service department that rear brakes should never wear our before front brakes. they replied that this is "normal in newer cars". i asked to retain the parts for examination. no surprise that the pads are worn abnormally. only one of the four rear pads needed to be replaced (see photo), clearly indicating a sticking caliper. i wanted to notify nhtsa as this may be a safely concern, and not just poor customer service.

Rear brake wear- 2015 accord 4dr. we needed to have the car serviced at 42k miles because the original battery died. during inspection we were told that the rear brakes were "almost metal on metal". service manager lied and told my wife that this was "normal for newer cars". brake wear is generally 70/30 front to rear, never rear brakes first. upon further inspection, only 1 out of the 4 rear pads was worn down to 2mm, and the other 3 were at least 4mm. this clearly indicating a mechanical problem or frozen caliper. very disappointed in my dealer and honda.

Rear tires wear unevenly on the inside, car had 14000 miles and had replace the tires due excessive noise. second set of tires wearing the same way. unadjustable camber issue. safety issue, suspension failure may occur.

Excessive inside tire tred wear on all 4 tires. i have had a 4-wheel alignment done twice this year alone. each time the mechanics are explaining to me that the alignment is to factory specs and there isn't any mechanical issue that should be causing this uneven wear. since purchasing the car in oct. 2015 new, i am only getting half the wear mileage the tire manufacturer says i should. upon doing some reseach online in car forums there seems to be an issue with the factory rear suspension, camber settings, that is causing many honda accord owners to experience the same uneven wear on the interior side of the tire tread. due to the tires cupping my car make excessive road noise and vibrations.

I bought a 2015 honda accord about 3 months ago with 40,000 miles on it. at 42,000 miles, i was leaving in the morning for work and had to jump my vehicle. it then happened each time that i tried to start my car. the alternator had gone completely out and i had to pay $700 to fix. an alternator should never go out that early in a vehicle at just 42,000 miles.

The right rear door does not open with the remote, or with the lock/unlock inside button or manually. the system is frozen on that side creating a very dangerous situation for my children that have to travel in the rear seat. there is no way to open the rear door in case of accident/fire or any other emergency.

Parked car and locked it by pushing the button on the door. did not use the fob. came back later and all the windows were rolled full down and the moon roof was open. no action on my part seemed to cause this. second time this has happened. first time was about a year ago. read some internet reports about this kind of thing happening with other honda owners. risk of weather damage to vehicle, theft, vandalism, etc.

After coming to a stop, the engines revs up and the car begins to creep forward with brake applied until pressure on the brake is released and then rpm returns to normal. this has happened at least four times. you stop the car by taking your foot off the brake.

For the past few months my car has been having trouble turning on. i have had to call geico for a jump start on multiple occasions already. sometimes when i press the power button, it struggles to turn on and i have to try multiple times. other times it won't turn on unless i use the remote start option with my key. the car has never turned off on my while i am driving, but a few times while i am driving, the display restarts and it startles me because it goes completely blank as if the car is going to shut off.

While driving on i-75 at 65 mph the car suddenly moved left and the steering became very hard to turn. then the car moved sharply right and left the roadway and struck the guardrail damasging the right front. the dealer, shottenkirk honda in cartersville,ga said they could do nothing as the car was damaged. the car was repaired by a body shop. they sent it out to have the alignment done. when the car was returned to the dealer to have the steering checked they said the alignment was off and the right front strut was bent. they repaired it and did the alignment. the dealer says that the diagnostic check does not show anything wrong with the steering. the reason is that it is to long a time since the incident. i believe that this is a safety issue and the car may not be safe to drive.

Takata recall - while driving home on the southern state parkway, a leveled highway, i veered towards the right in an effort to avoid a potential accident with another car speeding from behind me. car passed on my left - all was ok. then as i went from the break peddle to the gas peddle, boom then driver side and driver seat airbags deployed on my 2015 honda accord, the steering wheel began to locked, pulling me towards the left, all of this without collision or known impact to the car.

Upon breaking car accelerated, happened on two occasions, brought car to honda and they found no defects. happened again with more severity, informed honda and to date they have nor contacted me regarding this same problem.

The plastic case of the battery sensor may have gaps that allow moisture to enter the sensor. if moisture containing conductive substances (such as road salt) enters the battery sensor, it could cause an electrical short and subsequently, a fire.

Battery died suddenly, without warning. on 1/1/2018, i drive to the gas station on my way to the airport. i turned my car off and noticed that pump was out of of order so started my car and drove to another pump without issue. i filled up my tank, which took about 4 gallons of gas, then when i tried so start my car it would not start. i have push button start and all of the electronics worked but the ignition would not turn over. the dash blinked. i tried 3 more times and the brake pedal felt very tight and the car still would not start. this left me stranded at the gas station. i had to call roadside rescue. when the guy jumped my battery he said my battery was so low that when i turn my car off next time it would not start again. this is at 6am in the morning on a holiday, and i’m supposed to be parking my car for 5 days st the airport. i had to cancel my flight and find a place to buy a new battery that same day, without having to turn my car off. the battery cost almost $200. this car was purchased brand new from dealer so it had the original battery that came with the car within. i also have all maintenance done at dealer, most recently two months previous, where all things checked were listed as ok. this car was purchased in july 2015. the battery should not have failed so quickly. the car had 56,165 at the time of battery failure. there was no warning. the car has never not started. this was very dangerous. i know about the recall on the battery sensor, and we received the temporary fix and will get the permanent fix during our next maintenance, however i find it strange that my battery failed in between. i’ve never, since i’ve owned a car, had to replace a car battery in just 2.5 years of usage.

On october 23rd, 2017 i pressed on a brake pedal, the car did not stop or slow down. i frantically started pressing it a number of times and after about a 3rd time, an inch away from a car in front of me, my car finally stopped. i went straight to the tamaroff honda dealership where i bought the car and they could not find a problem. my vehicle was in motion on a 45 mph street called orchard lake.

I was informed of a recall affecting the battery/charging system of the vehicle. the mentioned issue already caused my battery to fail as well. when i took the car in for the repair the battery sensor was replaced free of charge. the battery was tested and was no good. this is a direct result of the failed battery sensing which was causing a charging system problem. i had to pay for $118.10 for the battery. i feel i should be reimbursed for the battery. also, i had already taken the car in a few months before for the charging issue. i was made to feel like an idiot. the recall was not out at the time.

“takata recall”-on july 12th 2017 i was involved in a very bad collision in lancaster,california on 30th street west and ave k at around 8:25am.i was traveling south bound on 30th at 50-55mph when a woman came out of nowhere and made a left turn in front of me,i tried to turn the car to keep from t boning her which i did, so my car hit the front end of her huge 2003 red lincoln murcury. my airbag did deploy and let off this awful smell that i still remember to this day,i put my right arm up in front of my face to keep it from hitting me,due to me doing that my right arm sustained bruising all the way to the bone and my sternum was fractured.

The drivers seat trim has fallen off now for the 4th time. the last time i had it fixed it looked like it might stay in place. i am the only person that drives the car and do not move it from the position it is in. i believe it is really the seat that is the problem and no trim will ever stay put. it is a defect because others have had the same problem. very upset. i believe honda needs to be responsible and fix it for good

On wednesday november 8th my wife went out to start our 2015 honda accord with 38,531 miles. the car did not start. we had the car towed to university honda. the service advisor checked the car out and said that the car battery was dead. we were required to purchase a new battery for $127.63. i contacted american honda requesting to be reimbursed the $127.63. they opened a case #06448979. my car is 2,531 miles outside its warranty. it has a recall notice for faulty battery sensors. the car was purchased 7/31/15, so the battery failed after only 27 months. the new battery that i purchased from honda has a 100 month warranty with no mileage limit. a reasonable person would expect a new car battery to last longer than 27 months, especially since when honda sells the battery separately from the car you are given a 100 month warranty. so either the battery was faulty or the faulty battery sensors caused the battery to fail prematurely. tia from american honda stated that the battery was beyond the 36,000 mile warranty and all she could do is give me “honda dollars” that i can spend on honda products. she would not let me talk to anyone else. after researching this issue online and talking to mechanics, it seems that honda has sold cars with faulty electrical systems that cause batteries to fail prematurely. i would like honda to reimburse me for the costs that i have incurred and recall their faulty batteries.

Older people have a high end hearing loss. hence, the driver who has the signal on cannot hear it and it misleads on-coming and following vehicles. it should be changed to a low pitch which people with hearing loss will be able to hear. yes i know there is a flashing light on the dash but it is not like the one one that vehicle has when you move out of your lane or do not slow down for a stopped vehicle. those give a flashing light but also a loud sound. the high pitch turn signal sound is not only a safety hazard but it probably violates the disability act. there are many people complaining on the internet. i forgot the signal was on and almost was hit by an on-coming vehicle at an intersection who thought i was going to turn..

Went to leave from our garage and tried to start the car and it would not crank, radio come on but then everything begin to flicker but would not start, however this is not the first tome. i took vehicle to honda dealer 2 wks ago and they said that everything they see is good...but it's apparent something is wrong.

The 12-volt battery sensor caused my battery to overcharge and spill out most of the battery acid and corroded the cables. the sensor failed to alert me of the battery's state of charge and and now i have a dead battery. honda of morgan hill will not replace my battery even though it was cased by the faulty sensor. they are having me pick up my car with a dead battery and will not replace it until i pay for a new battery. yes, my car is passed the 36k miles but the battery and car is only 2 years old.

My issue is i purchased the vehicle from the honda dealership and without any disclosed information, did they say anything about my vehicle being on recall. also i drove out of the dealership told that my car passed the inspection but then told me i have to go get it inspected. my vehicle failed the inspection after i was told that it passed when it was at the dealership. the monitor catalyst, monitor evap, monitor 02, none we’re ready for an inspection. i was then told that i have to keep driving the car to put some miles on it. never heard of this before that’s why i am reaching out.

Prior to today, i had an instance where all my panel lights came on and my car failed to start. after doing research i learned it could be related to a recall. i called the local dealership to schedule the recall repair and was told the parts were not yet available and they could provide a “temporary fix” if needed until the parts were available. i elected not to have a temporary fix and wait for the parts to be safe. when going in today (2 months later) for an oil change and tire balance i asked about the recall and if the parts were available. i was told they were so i gave permission for the recall repair to be completed while the had my car for the other scheduled maintenance. i picked up my car at 5:45 after being told the repairs were complete. i left the dealer and went to a restaurant and when i got back to my car and tried to start it, all the panel lights came on again and it failed to start leaving me stranded with my 8 year old son 20 minutes from my home. i called the dealership for assistance and the service department was closed. i was told my a salesman to bring my car in tomorrow morning. i expressed my grave concern with the condition of the car considering the repairs were supposed to be done and the possibility of it turning off or not starting. i did not want to chance driving the car as i did not feel it was safe. while waiting for a ride, the instrument panel and display continued to blink and turn on and off when i attempted to start the car. when my ride arrives, we jumped off my battery to see if it would start. it started but was weak. i drove back to the dealership (5 miles) while being followed by my friend. i left the car and was given a loaner in hopes the repairs can be successfully completed. i worry that the repair won’t be properly fixed (they don’t have the part)and my safety and my son’s safety will be compromised.

I had a recalled dated august 2017 to get the vehicle to a nearby dealer problem indicated on the letter: a battery sensor case mounted on top the 12v battery which may have gaps that could allow for moisture to enter the sensor. i took it to a dealer of honda of new rochelle in ny. i was told the part is not available and that american honda will reissue a letter. considering the risk involved in daily driving the car, how soon will the issue be fixed? i am scared driving this car and freely so. what follow-up information has american honda? kindly respond. my nummber -5168089496; email [email protected]

The brake rotors warped when i initially contacyed the honda dealer the said the chattering from my brakes was common with anti lock brakes.i knew this was a lie and finally made them turn the rotors. 220 bucks later the brakes worked. they e should have done it for free.

I recently bought this car in april 2017 and noticed whenever it rains, the interior stinks like mold. i checked for leaks and the rubber trim around the doors and found nothing wrong with them. since this is a problem that is detected by smell, there is no way for me to prove this to a dealer.

When starting car initially in the mornings and driving car in reverse with only braking and not applying any gas, after the first 10 feet in reverse the engine will rev up by itself and then stabilize, or engine will gulp air with engine jerking, or engine will rev up very high with the final last sound of clashing metal between the engine/transmission and the engine dying on the spot. these problems only occur with the initial starting of the car and only in reverse. the car functions normally after the events described above. the car is always garaged. the engine behavior described is intermittent and unpredicatable. clashing metal and stopping of engine last occurred july 26, 2017.

In 2016 howling, humming noise started in rear wheel when driving between 40-55 mph on both city streets and highway. noise would increase with speed. dealership diagnosed faulty wheel bearing and replaced it under warranty on feb 13, 2017 at 22,600 miles. after returning home from vacation in fl, the noise started again. the car was taken to my local dealership and was diagnosed again with a faulty wheel bearing at 26,690 miles. research has shown this is a recurring issue for the 2014-2015 model years for my vehicle. my warranty will be up in november 2017 and i am concerned that i may continue to have recurring issues and expenses due to this known problem. i have been a loyal honda customer and want to know what honda can do to remedy this issue. a vehicle of this age and mileage should not be experiencing this issue.

Obvious steering problems on the highway when breaking. honda says they can correct the rotor problems with a break job for $209.00. the vehicle only has 16000 miles on it. there have been hundreds of rotor problem complaints.

Takata recall. honda has identified a current safety problem with my vehicle, yet cannot correct this flaw in a reasonable period of time. it may takes months before the repair is made. their current written advice is to "...avoid having a passenger sit in the front passenger's seat until the recall repair has been performed." how is a family of four expected to do this with a family sedan seating four? we have no public transportation available in my community. shall i always leave a member of my family behind then? never leave home? if honda cannot perform the recall repairs in a reasonable period of time, they should provide rental vehicles for their customers. this is reasonable given the safety concern.

On july 9, 2016, we were traveling south bound on interstate i-75 right outside of chattanooga, tennessee. we had only traveled 4 or 5 miles when we heard a horrendous noise which came from underneath the car. it was all my husband could to maintain control of the car until we got off the interstate. while he was steering it off the shoulder of the road, i saw the remains of the michelin primacy mxv4 215/55r215 right rear tire go sailing past the car in the middle of the interstate. these tires had 12,619 miles on them when this blow-out occurred. there was no debris on the road. this tire simply exploded!

Car failed to start because brake pedal refused to depress slightly and close its part of the starter circuit. that failure-to-depress rendered the dashboard push-button inoperable. honda dealer claimed that brake pedal use during parking had over-pressurized the brake pedal cylinder, which would gradually bleed off. that bleed off took anywhere from 5 minutes to 2 hours, in 3 separate instances. this problem renders this $30,030 car useless for taking a pregnant wife to the hospital or for a myriad of other have-to-start-the-car-now reasons.

When the headlights are turned on, both lens covers show a thick round circle distorting the beam projection.. honda claims this happens on all the accords and refuses to do fix the problem under the warranty. they said if they replaced the lights it would just happen again. they said its dust but it looks like the circle is etched, either way the light appears distorted

The seats, in particular the head restraints (headrests), are of a faulty design in that they are tilted too far forward for any kind of comfort and are not adjustable. only if one drives while in a semi-reclined position is the headrest tolerable. compared to a safer, more vertical driving position, this semi-reclined (approx 25 degrees from vertical) driving position hinders one's alertness and ability to see and react to all traffic situations; therefore this lack of headrest tilt or fore/aft adjustment is a serious safety issue for those people not ideally fitting the seat as designed. i have confirmed that my car is as it was designed and because i bought it new, i know it has not been altered at all. this type of maladjustment is not readily recognizable in a brief test drive.

On friday may 6, 2016 while driving on interstate 4, driver side window exploded inward hitting me with glass and distributing glass throughout entire inside of car, front and back. very loud explosion and all glass came inside car. there were no other cars beside me or in front of me at the time. i almost lost control of the vehicle while doing 70 mph. honda service sanford florida said there is no issue with their windows doing this, however, when i go on line i see many entries on the internet outlining this same identical issue, plus there are law suits that have been filed against honda due to this issue. honda service sanford cleaned all of the glass from within the interior of car without taking pictures. i will take pictues of the inside of door once they remove panels. something needs to be investigated to ensure that that is there is a defect in the glass that its replaced before someone looses control of their vehicle and causes injury or death to other.

Vehicle does not decelerate when going going down hill or driving in city city traffic or on a city street, highway and freeway. on 4 may 2016, tested drove the vehicle with american honda motor factory representative mr. tom zumieda.. mr. zumieda stated he found the vehicle to be working as designed and at factory specs. he did verify my complaint and advised and demonstrated how to use cruise control when applicable to change the shift pattern to help the down shift process when showing down and foot of the gas pedal.

Engine misfires at highway speeds with the tachometer surging 1,000 rpm's with each misfire. you cannot maintain your speed and therefore are not able to safely drive on the highway. took it to a dealer who stated someone else had recently been in with the same problem, but could not recreate the probelm on a test drive. they reset the computer to factory settings, but didn't hear back yet from the owner if it resolved the issue. they didn't reset my car's computer, however. my problem appears to match that of nhtsa id number 10838521.

I bought a new honda accord about 7 months ago. i noticed after driving it a month or more that every long once in a while it was showing me a defect known as "unintended acceleration". i took it in to the dealer and after they examined it, put it on the computer machine and test drove it a few miles, they found it to be perfect, nothing wrong with it. i took it back and continued driving it thinking that perhaps i did something that caused it.as i continued on with it, i pulled into my handicap space at my parking lot. front end up to a concrete bunker with the handicap sign standing tall in front. i was about to put the car in park and shut the key off, when suddenly while my feet were off the pedals the car zoomed up to 40 mph,i turned the wheel left to try and avoid the sign after it hit the bunker and as it sped into the next parking lane i braked and shifted to neutral.luckily there was no traffic in the second lane or i would have killed somebody as well as myself.i took it to two more dealers with a damaged passenger fender and they all said after looking and testing again that there is nothing wrong with the car. the last dealer brought a honda expert mechanic in from the manufacturer and he too said nothing's wrong. without evidence they can do nothing for me.if we can't find the trouble you say is there, we can't accomodate you. i said, so your sending me home now to get killed?sorry but there's no proof. i called honda manufacturer and they would do nothing.

I had two tires blow in less then a month. they're michelin tires. was told by honda i ran over something but there was no puncture at all in my tire. it was a perfect blow. the light literally came on a two seconds later while i was driving down the highway it blew. i nearly wrecked and was killed. the second second time i was on the the road maybe a minute and the light came on. came right home and called honda. i refused to drive my car down to them bc of what happened last time. i know this is a manufacturing issue and i want my $230.00 back for the one tire i replaced and all new tires. this is not a safe car right now. absolutely horrible customer service too. i had a honda before this car and never had any issues like i'm having now.

I am currently leasing a 2015 accord. i took my car to wal-mart to have tires rotated and was informed they could not rotate due to my rear tires cupping. i took it to honda car service and was informed my rear tires were cupping and they didn't know why. my alignment wasn't bad. they told me they could rotate them and balance and do a new alignment. they told me my car would be loud due to putting the cupping tires in front. i have learned other people with high mile honda accord 2015 are having same issue where the chamber is off. the only way currently i can get my to stop sounding like a tractor trailer is to buy new tires however with the chamber being off it will continue to happen and the new tires will cup too. i am going to contact honda again and see what they can do however i heard honda is not agreeing that camber is off.

While overtaking a large truck (semi), in the fast lane of a four lane divided highway, the adaptive cruise control flashed a warning and automatically applied heavy braking as my vehicle was even with the rear of the semi trailer. this caused the vehicle behind me to nearly rear-end my car. this has happened several times over the past year, and seems to be more frequent lately. i am nervous about using the acc when approaching or passing a large semi tractor trailer. i have seen other comments regarding the same situation posted on the internet. i believe this is a serious safety issue, and should be investigated.

This vehicle has no dashboard indicator to inform you when the washer fluid is low. this may sound like a small thing, however, the point when you run out without warning is when you are trying to clean the windshield. this happened to me on the highway this winter with a lot of salty spray coming off the road. the result was a streaky mess that i could barely see through. fortunately, i carry a gallon of fluid with me so i stopped and filled it on the spot. according to the owners manual, the indicator is only found on canadian models.

When you pressure on the accelerator pedal to power the vehicle (like pulling out into traffic or changing lanes in traffic, the car stalls and put you at risk of getting into an accident. it happens sitting at a traffic light or driving 55 mph and trying to change lanes. does not matter if the car is warm or cold, but occurs less when cold.

The first problem occurred october 22nd, 2015. i was driving at night and i went to change the volume (up and down) on the steering wheel and it was not registering to the car. i then tried changing the station with the left and right buttons, and nothing changed. i proceeded to try using the touchscreen and i would press firmly and the stations would not change. i would have to stop, turn the car off and back on several times, then it would randomly work again. sometimes it would not work till the next day. i took my car in, showed them the video(s), and they said they rebooted/restarted/updated the firmware or the “system” and it happened again to just come in. my car is current back in the shop, and now i have seven videos documented of this happening, all with the same issue recurring, on december 2nd, 2015, december 15th, 2015, january 17th, 2016, and january 21st, 2016. i can send all videos to an email but it will not let me upload it on the website. please note, every time this situation has happened, you can see in the videos, i am driving and/or stationed. morning, night, turning, driving forward, and reversing even. i checked to see if there were any recalls and/or complaints about this issue, and i could not find any. i honestly do not feel safe since this is a brand new car with under 9k miles.

Purchased car in may of 2015. went on a 10 hour trip after owning 2 weeks, after a few hours it became obvious that it was impossible to attain a comfortable driving position. seats pull back and neck, legs go to sleep. upon arriving at our destination both drivers had headache and sore back and legs. recently had car in shop for minor body shop repairs and was provided a rental car, dodge challenger, what a relief ! great seats. have had the car back now for 3 days and immediately felt back discomfort seriously considering getting rid of this car after eight months of misery! major disappointment!

I purchased my vehicle at the end of december 2015 with 100 miles on it. by the end of june, i noticed when i would brake i would feel vibration in the steering wheel. this would happen on the highway or city street, any mileage over 55. i took the vehicle back to the dealer and was advised that the rotors need to be resurfaced. this occurred again towards the end of january 2016. i took the vehicle back to the same dealer on february 5, 2016 and was advised that the rotors would need to be resurfaced again. i was also advised that honda would only pay for one of these procedures and i would have to pay for the other. i asked the salesman if this was an frequent occurrence with honda? were the rotors or brakes inexpensive? he asked that most likely was not the case because there were a lot of hondas on the road. this wasn't a justifiable answer for me so i advised him that i would do my own research and report this issue if necessary.

With approximately 4600 miles vehicle would not start. several error messages showed up: anti locking brake problem, acc problem and brake system problems. honda towed to service department. low battery was diagnosed and dealer installed new battery.

While driving in stop and go traffic, either on the highway or on residential streets, occasionally, the vehicle will hesitate. this hesitation will last 1-3 seconds and then the vehicle will accelerate as expected. this hesitation can cause a dangerous situation since the vehicle will not move as expected. the vehicle was purchased new, and this has occurred since its purchase. i've taken it to the honda dealer, but they can not duplicate it since it is an intermittent issue. their response was to stop using the econ button. i have stopped using this feature, but the issue has persisted, (although it has lessened in occurrences). the issue can occur 1-2 times per week, with the last occurrence on 12/8/15. there is a technical service bulletin on the vehicle 15-036, which may or may not be related, but last time at the dealer, they couldn't find the tsb, so the software update likely has not been made to the vehicle.

With 800 miles on the vehicle, it stalled at 65 mph. took it to the dealer, they could not recreate the problem. i told them i did not want the car back until the problem was fixed. after 10 days, we reluctantly took the car back. the dealer said they reported the problem to honda, but i really don't know if they did. they said "driver error". in late november, we received a safety recall letter saying our car might stall at highway speeds. we had the software updated, the 4 days later the car stalled again. thankfully in a parking lot. it took 10 minutes to get it started. right away, we took it to the dealer, removed our license plates, and informed the service manager we would not drive it again. he sais it was "driver error". the next week we traded the car for a new ford fusion. it cost us several thousand dollars to do this, but we said it wasn't worth the chance that it would stall again. the dealer and maybe honda did not step up to the plate on this matter. they put it all on me, the consumer. thanks for listening.

I purchased a new 2015 honda accord touring from pat peck honda on dec. 1, 2015. the car when test driven vibrated at highway speeds. as the car had been manufactured in april of 2015, i assumed that the tires were a little flat spotted. i was told that the tires were a little bit "out of balance" and the dealer balanced the tires, test drove it and returned it to me as roadworthy. i took the car back 3 times and each time the dealer represented to me that the problem was tire balance and the problem was fixed. they even claimed that the tires were replaced. i am convinced that that is a lie. i took the car to an independent tire dealer this morning and he examined the tires and showed me on his balance machine that the tires are out of round. i am complaining because i do not consider these tires as roadworthy and the dealer is refusing to do anything constructively to fix the problem. the tires are goodyear assurance fuel max tires manufactured 16/2015

Sciatic nerve pinching severely in right lower back after two months. hit deer with car, toyota rav 4 rental car, problem went away. now, car back, two weeks, problem returning. keeps getting progressively worse, both times. worried back will go out, not be able to work.

While driving in extreme dark conditions (eg on a poorly lit country road), with the headlights on, a well demarcated veil of darkness covers approximately 50% of the front windshield (ie the top half). this curtain-like veil obstructs the driver's vision, to the point that he/she must look "under" the curtain of darkness to clearly see the road. if, however, the bright lights are turned on, vision is much improved (although one can faintly see the darkened top half of the windshield). not only is this situation uncomfortable, but it is dangerous.

Approx. 4 months into my ownership of the vehicle, the backup camera stayed on, while the gear was in d (drive). fortunately it was a short drive but it did concern me a little bit. the same issue happened again 2 months later. pictures from both incidents are attached. on the 2nd instance the audio system said "turned off" while music was played loud and clear. i changed gears a few times while actually in the parking spot to see if it resets, but no luck. incident has not been reported to the dealer yet. was the computer on the car thinking that i was reversing the car while i was actually going forward? anything wrong with the integration of transmission to electronics? what if the air bags do not deploy or early warning systems like forward collision or lane departure alerts do not work? i am continuing to drive the car but very concerned for family and my own safety.

Excessive wind noise coming from windows. mainly noticed from driver and passenger side windows. more noticeable at higher speeds. no water leaks detected during time of rain or during car wash.

Intermittently, but always upon acceleration (could be pulling onto the highway from a stopped position, merging/speeding up to get on the highway or pass another vehicle, or starting to move when the light turns green) the car will fall flat with no power. it doesn't stall, just doesn't respond to the gas pedal. most times, happens in second gear. releasing the gas pedal and then pressing it again most times resolves the problem. sometimes, it takes a few tries. this is a very dangerous problem, and i have had many motorists swerve around me or blow the horn at me because i can't get the car moving fast enough. i just spent $30,000 on this new car, and the dealership cannot duplicate the problem so they're sending me on my way with a vehicle that's a potential death trap.

This is 2015 brand new accord lx with cvt. the issues are: 1. the car has obvious side to side sway at speed 15 mph. 2. the car has big amplitude vibration at speed 25~35 mph. especially on a downward slope. 3. the whole car is vibrating at high speed (>70 mph). my hands and legs felt numbed after driving 30 to 40 minutes on highway.

Buy grand new 2015 honda accord ex and drving only 67 miles get the check engine light come on when driving on city street indicate thetraction symbol and steering wheel symbol problem . bring the car back to dealer for fixed and been told that the v-tech solenoid is bad , they have to replace a new one and test drive for 20 miles to see if problem still occur ( don't make any sense )

The tires are all permanently damaged due to improper tire wear. extremely loud road noise reduced handling saftey and stopping properties. the uneven tire wear is being caused by a mechanical issue with the vehicle. one that honda has failed to own up to. the car is brand new the people from the tire shop said that many new hondas come in there with the same problem

While turning left after the stop light displayed green, the steering wheel got locked and became very difficult to turn. i ended up hitting the curb on the right side. i turned the ignition off and restarted the engine. only then was i able to rotate the steering wheel. fortunately it was a mid-day and there was no car behind. two days later, again while returning home from work which is about a mile away, again the steering wheel got locked when departing from the intersection. this time i was going straight, but the steering wheel got locked and was very hard to move. i had to make a right turn to enter the apartment complex, when with much difficulty was able to make a wide swerve and park in the lot. i could see the electronic power steering (eps) indicator turned on in the dashboard. again to release the lock, i had to restart the engine. i got the car towed to nearby honda dealer. the service engineer said that he has never heard of such a problem!!! what a shame!!! his total lack of knowledge of such a problem is more worrisome than the actual defect itself. i told him that there are so many complaints about such an issue in online. not sure if the dealer can correct this problem. this is a huge safety issue that honda has to take serious action on. my trust on honda's safety is lost now!

I was driving on a highway and all of a sudden my sunroof exploded. i heard a loud noise. however, i didnt see any rocks or any object flying towards my car. it was very strange for the sunroof to just explode out of nowhere. i went to a honda dealer and they told me that it was impacted by an object. i did not see anything around that would have smashed into the sunroof.

While idling down the street , i noticed that the tachometer indicated an rpm of less than 500. i depressed the accelerator to move forward and had no response . the accelerator was then depressed all the way to the floor with still no response. the accelerator was the letup all of the way and depressed again and the engine speeded up as normal. this same problem was experienced in a 2013 honda that we just traded in for the same problem that existed for the two years that we owned it. this could be a dangerous situation if it occurred in heavy traffic or on a freeway. honda says that these are the only two vehicles that have ever been reported with this kind of problem. please enter this as a potentially serious traffic problem .

Whereas this does not serve as an immediate threat to life or limb, as a rn of 10 years, i do feel it needs attention from nhtsa for long-term health hazards. the seat in this vehicle, which i have owned for 2 days, is not only uncomfortable, it causes severe left leg numbness, pain, tingling, burning that doesn't resolve when exiting the vehicle. this is a step above discomfort, it is a long-term, possibly short-term health hazard, as i don't know that i could handle another 1 hr drive in the vehicle and still walk when getting out of the vehicle. being able to walk and having intact neurovascular status in lower extremities is quite important and this vehicle compromises that significantly. as said, i understand there is a wide gap between ergonomics and safety concerns. i truly feel that, from a medical standpoint, honda has bridged this gap and created a true safety hazard with the design of these seats. i will be relentlessly searching for a solution in the meantime, but my aching butt and numb leg are crying for help from honda and nhtsa.

I was driving on a high way and all of the sudden a light came on that said "power system fail" and i lost the ability to use the accelerator. i stayed calm because there were cars all around me and i began to coast and use momentum to drift to the shoulder of the highway. then a second light came on and said 'brake system power fail". i tapped the break and it seemed to work but i continued to coast down the shoulder of the highway until i ran out of momentum. i then turned my brand new honda accord exl hybrid off and restarted the car. the lights remained on but the accelorator was working so i drove the car to the closest service area on the highway. i then called honda roadside who told me to turn the vehicle off and wait for a tow truck. he said that i must have broken a belt. why he said or thought that he could diagnose the problem from a call center i'm not sure. it was over 100 degrees so i did not listen to the man from honda because it was too hot and not safe for me to sit in the vehicle without air. i waited for a tow truck which cost me $250 even though its a brand new car and i have honda roadside assistance. my husband came and met me where the tow left me. he drove the vehicle to our dealership. the dealership told us that they have no record of this ever happening and the computer does not show that anything happened. it was so scary and dangerous and i could have been killed. they say that they can't diagnose the problem because it seems like nothing is wrong. they even asked me if i accidentally turned the car off while driving?!?!?! that isn't possible!!!! i just found the exact same complaint from another honda driver on here which also shows that this has happened before and something is wrong. as a woman who chose this car because it is supposed to be so reliable and safe i am so upset. i do not believe that my vehicle is safe.

While traveling southbound on rt. 95 in delaware, the sunroof spontaneously shattered on my three month old 2015 honda accord. the sound was similar to a loud gun shot, followed by a crackling noise. the driver and passengers in my car did not see or hear anything hit the car roof, and none of the surrounding vehicles took any action that would have suggested something had fallen out of the sky. the sunroof shade was closed, so no glass entered the cabin. price honda in dover, de, replaced the sunroof glass under warranty. the honda dealership, where the car was purchased in marlton, nj, (burns), was reluctant to acknowledge the possibility that the sunroof spontaneously shattered and even had the audacity to charge us for touch-up paint. a quick google search resulted in several news reports regarding this problem with many makes and models. nhtsa should put auto manufacturers on notice about this defect and compel them to take action to ensure all sunroof glass is thick enough to eliminate future glass failure, which could result in severe accidents with fatal consequences. thank you. *tr

I have had three incidents in the 4500 miles that i have driven the car where the sun reflects off of the shiny portion of the chrome center console and blinds me. this is unsafe and can cause an accident. other company's use non-reflective to avoid this. i think it should be recalled. i also think fmvss standards should address this extremely unsafe condition. i threw a rag over the portion of the console to prevent the sun from reflecting in my eyes so i would not have an accident.

My stock radio kept going on and off. it would just stop playing and then start playing on it's own. like an electrical short. i went to honda dealership after it continued. they said it would cost me $500 to just look at it not guarantee that they could fix it. the radio is part of the air conditioning system knobs and i didn't want any further shorts to occur since there was nothing wrong with that part of the system. i am the original owner

For a week the lights on the dashboard showed that there was a problem with the abs brakes & traction device flashing and so we took it in to honda to have them find out why. the first time it was a sunday afternoon (may 31th) and the fellow said it was a computer glitz and he reset the computer. in less than 1 day the lights appeared again, so we made an appointment for that wednesday june 3rd to have it looked at; when we got there they said it would take 2-3 hours to check all the codes, etc. we were not told this when we made the appointment, so we did not have the time that day. we asked the man that talked to us (it was mike or doug) would it be dangerous to drive it and he said "no." ....just computer problems. so the very next day as i was driving to work in my only 4 month old car and was on this 2 lane road that is by all info can be dangerous. i was in a straight way (which is a blessing) and pressed on the brake to slow down the car and it pulled to the right and the car slammed against a 2 foot asfault curb causing the front right tire to blow and sending my car into oncoming traffic. thank the lord no cars were coming, but i had a horrible time stopping the car and bringing it into a right lane. then i had to drive about 1/2 mile to where i could pull over safely (i was driving on the rim). we knew right away that something was wrong with the car, and told this to our insurance when we called in the claim. the lights were still flashing after it was repaired! the auto body man then took the car to honda to have it checked, and they found out that the wheel-baring on the wheel was put in backwards!! this caused the brakes to fail! they made me take back the same car with no other choice (it is a lease). i just wanted a new car that i was not concerned to drive. liberty mutual (our company) is going on recovery; they say get a lawyer!

Honda a/c condenser prone to damage from road debris in december 2014 i purchased a new 2015 honda accord. on july 9, 2015 my air conditioner stopped working. i live in florida where the summer is extremely hot making even the shortest of trips very uncomfortable. i took my car to the dealership the next morning for service, knowing that i have a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty in addition to an extended warranty. i was sure that the repair would be covered under warranty. i was informed that a rock/pebble had pierced my condenser which put a pinhole in it, and it is not covered under warranty. honda indicated that the cost to fix the condenser is $716.85. i went to the dealership twice to speak with the general manager to see if this can be resolved given that my car is only 8 months old with only 9000 miles and i was told to go through my insurance company. i also reached out to honda of america and was told that the damage was caused by road debris and is not covered under warranty. this is an obvious design flaw. the honda air-conditioning condenser is unduly prone to damage caused by "normal" road debris that does not affect other auto manufacturer's condenser design. as with other auto makers, the front bumper clip is wide open to any kind of road debris and the condenser sits right behind the front air intake with no protection at all. however, this typical design poses a problem for the honda condensers and will happen over & over again, and honda refuses to do anything about it calling it normal and working as designed! this should be a recall.

Initial use of the automatic air conditioning system puts the passenger cabin into "air recirculation" mode in order to bring the temperature down as quickly as possible. unfortunately it will not turn air recirculation off until the interior air temperature has reached the temperature asked for. this can take a long time. we have been told for years that it isn't safe to leave recirculation on for too long due to the possibility of dangerous exhaust gases entering the cabin. recirculation can be turned off by pushing a button but having fresh air sooner seems safer to me.

On 6/25/2015 at around 9:15am on the way to take my grandfather to a doctor visit, as my mother was exiting goldenwest on the 22 freeway going westbound, experienced an incident where the right rear tire blew out. there was no construction on the road where sharp objects could have caused this to occur. i have also inspected the tire and found that there is no other damage to the tread of the tire. we believe that this is a tire defect. photos have been submitted to the tire supplier, continental tires, as well as honda customer service through facebook as i could not locate their email address. we have contacted autonation honda in costa mesa where the vehicle was purchased and was directed to contact the tire supplier directly, which i believe is quite ridiculous that they would not even assist us in handling this issue with the product. my mother has not driven the vehicle since the incident due to the loss of confidence in these tires. she was supposed to visit my grandfather today, who is very very sick with cancer, but she did not since she is afraid that another tire will fail in a similar fashion. we were lucky that it occurred near where she was exiting and on a rear wheel. i can only imagine what could have happened at highway speeds and if it were on one of the front wheels she uses to steer the car.

Just made a left turn out of my development and was driving down the road when the driver and passenger airbags deployed. due to the smoke i could no longer see and the car hit a tree on the right side of the road and the rest of the airbags deployed..... updated 06/30/15 *bf

I purchased this vehicle about 3 months ago. honda states that the text messages will display on the honda display as a hands free use. however, i have not been able to use this function. the car doesn't allow this function. i have done everything from resetting my phone and having the manufacture of the phone check it out. honda, tells me that they are not compatible with the iphone 6, well, i feel that honda should have an update on their software, so that people that have iphones will be able to use this feature that honda adverstises.

The 2015 honda vehicles have a "green" product that consist of fuel lines and various wiring that has a soy based composition. rodents are eating the fuel lines and wiring because of the soy based ingredient. i know of numerous vehicles that have leaked gasoline due to the damage caused by rodents. i believe the problem includes numerous vehicle makes. i feel that our new honda is a time bomb in terms of potential fires. where can we park our vehicle and know that it is safe from rodents. please take my comments serious! it appears that honda america has developed tape to wrap the soy based products in.....they know that they have a problem. my car was repaired this week and the dealership did not wrap the soy based products in the tape?????? will it take someone dying to get this problem corrected?

Honda accord ex-l model equipped with lane watcher camera, this model comes with standard backup camera. in specific situation the camera never turns off creating high distraction. how to produce, turn the engine on ( from a complete stop) put car into reverse that runs the backup camera, immediately turn the right blinker on ( which usually turn the lane watcher camera on) this will confuse the system and resulting even though you put the car in drive mode the back camera never turns of. its a software glitch. have taken to the dealer. technician from dealer spoke to the honda engineers, as advised by the honda engineer technician did same thing on a brand new accord 2015 and ruled it as an expected behavior. as a regular driver every one has habit of using blinker whether you are backing or not. due to this i can't use the right blinker which has potential for accident and if use this you may end up driving car with back up camera keep rolling this is as dangerous as driving with video playing. *tr

When the temperature drops rapidly below freezing, the window motors freeze the windows become inoperable. this occurred with my left front, right front, and left rear windows. these various windows have frozen 4 additional times since the original incident. sometimes it has only been one of the 3 windows that has frozen shut; other times it has been all three.

The automatic driver's seat in my new 2015 accord sport only moves forward and back, up and down (the entire seat) and lumbar adjustment. my issue however is that the seat bottom where it meets the seat back is substantially lower than the front of the seat bottom and therefore cuts off the circulation under my legs no matter how low or high i adjust the seat since it only either rises or lowers the entire seat. an hour is about all i can handle sitting in these seats without feeling the risk of blood clots due to lack of circulation to my lower legs. now i see all these complaints from shorter drivers starting years ago which indicates that honda has known about the issue for years and done nothing. *tr

After leasing my honda accord sport, i took it for a drive on the freeway, after reaching the speed of about 55 miles per hour i started hearing a noise on the passenger side door. first i thought my door or window was not fully closed but that was not the case. it sounds like air is leaking through the door once i get above 55 mph. i rechecked the seals on the doors, everything seems fine but the noise keeps happening. i might need to get the door seals on that side to be replaced. not sure what to do. *tr

After taking delivery of our new honda accord we were driving home on the freeway when it began raining. it was a steady to hard rain and as the drivers side wiper would bring the water over to the left side of the windshield the water would build up against the left side molding and become trapped there then it would get pulled back with the wiper across the windshield blocking my vision to my left. it would pool on the left side between the molding and the wiper then come back with the wiper blade as it returned obscuring my vision. it appears to be a design flaw that gives the water no where to exit or drain so it is pulled or blown back onto the windshield as the wiper comes back to the right. there is no issue with this during a light rain. *tr

My car has been burning oil at an excessive rate. there are no leaks and i get the oil changed every three months regardless of milage. today i checked my oil and it was empty. there was no indication light and the more i search online for solutions, it seems this is a common problem with this vehicle. i feel honda should fix the defect.
