NHTSA fines NexL $100,000

The Center for Auto Safety is the nation’s premier independent, member driven, non-profit consumer advocacy organization dedicated to improving vehicle safety, quality, and fuel economy on behalf of all drivers, passengers, and pedestrians.

On September 16, 2004, NHTSA and NexL Sports Products LLC entered into a $100,000 settlement agreement related to NexL’s failure to bring motorcycle helmets into compliance with FMVSS No. 218.
